  2. So what's on the surface here is just the tip of a very large TK resource iceberg! yikes it must be colossal by now, again Kudos to all the Technical folks who keep this monster going. I also throw in the search terms: Whitearmor FISD & or the topic & original posters name if I remember it, that sometime yields results too.

  3. I am the GML for my garrison so I'm hoping the DO's can help answer this for Basic approvals, Do the large tabs need to be present on the front of the shoulder straps? CRL only specifies the tabs on the back as optional. With text and reference images being used as judging criteria but not always matching each other, it creates too much ambiguity on some costumes.

  4. There's no stupid questions brother, just questions. The CRL is clear in the Sniper Knee request and for reference images we use what we have in the gallery section where you can see the sniper knee is present, damaged, but present. The BASIC level Is all up to your GML to approve with or without the sniper knee, buy for higher levels we have to check according to the crl and official references .

  5. Looks much better. I think this was discussed when the CRL was first assembled, it is listed as a requirement for base approval The trapezoid knee section (sniper knee plate) is affixed to the left greave and may have two visible brads or rivets securing it to the greave. DO's @Deployment Officer Team would have to chime in for higher level requirements

  6. Hi Dan, this is an interesting question . As you noted , the crl is specific in the rear tab of the shoulder bridges and isn't for the front one but, to my understanding , if the rear tab is optional, is implicit that the front one isn't . The crl aditionally states : Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GMLs and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume. We have a lot of reference images that clearly shows a large tab in the front and most of the time none in the rear. At the end of the day is completely up to you the Basic Approval, for higher levels EIB and Centurion this would be a blocker and the applicant would need to change the piece.

  7. Gah! Finally broke the last rivet loose. Now to progress with the repair. I will not tolerate rust stained armor as a Deathstar Stormtrooper. Rivet, washer, elastics replacement. This demanded immediate attention. When selling split rivet assemblies please ensure STAINLESS hardware. We SWEAT in these things. Salty Sweat. In practice, kitting down after a troop involves packing your armor up into a Husky Bin, perhaps a post troop dinner or lunch then an hour or two drive back home. There is no AIR OUT time until you arrive back home. Please hear these words. Split rivets are the hardest to replace involving this theatrical costume. They are the hardest thing to get removed and the hardest on the plastic to remove. You only want to install these ONCE in the lifetime of the costume. This is BAD.

  10. Copy. I will lighten the gray as I value your opinion! Being the GML, I’m trying to make it as easy on my CO as I can. And thank you.

  11. Ultimately it's your GML who will decide what will be acceptable, going off the CRL the main image is different to some of the armor piece images so there is a bit of leeway. Main Parts I went through most (if not all) of the build threads and based mine on what others have done previously
