  1. Hi all, Ok, so got the hand guards sewn to the gloves. Great advice, Glenn. Much appreciated. As another question, I’m looking to make the below mobility cuts to my thighs (only the left is pictured because the other is glueing). Will these adjustments affect my application for Centurion? 2. Hello, I am building an ANH trooper. Kit is WTF base and I am building from partial finish with help from my brother. He is the GML for our local garrison. I look forward to join the armored members of the 501st!

  3. Hello all, After sitting on a couple of the Anovos marketing kits for years I have finally decided its time to build/finish a First Order trooper. So with that in mind I am putting up a build thread here. Its been a while since I did a full build thread so lets see how this goes. Onto the fun and weird stuff. So as mentioned, I have a couple of the marketing kits, but I am in the process of selling both of them. I have elected to use the DN kit for my build as recommended by members in my Garrison. I do plan in the future to get a couple parts from IS for other builds and I have many of his other kits. Alright so here is the list Armor: DN Helmet: DN Gaskets: GeekyPinky for cloth, exploring options for rubber Boots: Crow but may change to KT Gloves: Endor Finders Neckseal: GeekyPinky Holster: Self made machined aluminum Paint: TBD Accessories: All of them! I have a white and red DN pauldron, in house 3d printed blasters, tack vest(unknown maker), backpack from BSP(I know TLJ didnt have one but ill make it for fun!) The armor bits are arriving today so I will be sure to get them unboxed and start working right away. I have a deal with a bunch of garrison mates that I need to finish this before I move onto anything else(with exception of my wife's armor) so they will be keeping me in check. Happy building!

  4. Greetings all The Rogue One TK CRL has undergone a minor update which included one change and some grammatical error correction. So what is the change? The ANH style rubber gloves which we all know are incorrect for this costume has now been removed as an option from basic level approval. ANH style rubber gloves are no longer permitted. You can still however use Nomex, or leather , or leather look gloves as these are closer to the correct style. What was Level 3, the correct style, all black First Order type glove is now level 2 Expert Infantry requirement. This is how the CRL now reads.

  6. Fun fact: In the last pic I posted, other than the rubber trim, the helmet is holding itself together (even the ears) with only the alignment keys I added when I modded the files. Of course, I had to be careful picking it up, but I thought that was pretty cool

  11. Hello troopers, I wanted to formally introduce myself and use this post as a platform to gather as much additional information as I can while I embark this new journey that I’m incredibly passionate about. A little background: Recently, I traveled from New York City to San Diego Comic Con where I had the privilege of stumbling upon some amazing people at a 501st Legion booth. I needed little convincing as I have some cosplay experience and the ambition to pursue a Stormtrooper outfit prior to meeting the Legion. Since then, I’ve been digging through the web of 501st & FISD to acclimate myself with the process and learn as much as I can. I’m incredibly new to this whole experience and would really like to dive in to putting myself in a position where I have a good understanding about those first initial steps of buying a kit, putting it together, etc. So hello again! I look forward to any input provided for a someone really new to all of this. And I’ll do my best to provide any clarity on any uncertainties. You will hear from me soon, Santana

  15. UPDATE Well, my last post in this thread was thirteen months ago, but I just got home from an eight month deployment and decided it was time for an update. At the time of my last post I was just getting started on training, I began with nightly cardio and cutting out sugary beverages. My routine has changed considerably since then, but the biggest change has been dietary, not so much a change in the kinds of foods I’ve been eating, but the serving sizes. Recently, I’ve started a new weight training regimen consisting of 1-2 hours in the gym five days a week (M-F). I’d be happy to go into detail if anyone would like to know more, but for the time being I just wanted to post some progress here. Posting keeps a little bit of healthy pressure on me, and this journey is far from over. Keep working hard Troopers, keep making progress, it’s never too late to get started. Best of luck to all of you. Progress Troopers, Progress! Last Update: 248.5lbs Current Weight: 217.5lbs Updated Goal: 200lbs

  16. I think its well overdue that we update the image for the gloves on this CRL. Currently it shows ANH style rubber gloves where we know they wore TFA style gloves albeit all black with black stitching. Options for language update. If updating the image, I also believe we should eliminate the rubber gloves language from basic, and just leave Nomex style. (they are closer to the correct style than rubber. If this change is made we bring the correct style glove into EI and remove level 3, or we simply don't have a lvl 2 and leave correct gloves at lvl 3 The other option is to only have the correct gloves at basic removing lvl 2 and 3 from this section, as we do in other CRL's like the TFA, TLJ These gloves are readily available and on our Vendors list. Current CRL Black in color, made of either rubber, Nomex, leather, or leather-like material, with no visible straps or logos/designs. The fingers are enclosed, non-textured. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Gloves shall not be made of rubber. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The base material of the gloves will be a black synthetic material similar to Lycra, Spandex, Elastane, or Nylon. Palms of gloves shall be shiny black fabric or leather or leather-like material. On the index finger shall be a stitched piece of fabric made from the same material as the hand's underside that while stitched to the finger has one cutout towards the end of the finger that reveals the netted material underneath. Gloves shall have the correct leather pattern along the fingers/palm. Current Image New Image to be added
