The endocrinologist has given me some lab work requisition forms, but agrees that I probably shouldn't be taking the dose that caused my weight gain. Until I'm able to get that done I'll be continuing my exercise regimen. As of Monday, this week, I weighed 179. I've made a bunch of progress toward my goal and I'm very proud of that. Thanks again to everyone for all of the encouragement!3 points

I’m a certified personal trainer if anyone needs someone to bounce questions off of or just an opinion. Been involved in various forms of sports and exercise over the years. I focus heavily now on the integration of mental health with physical health as well.2 points

not 50’s here yet but almost 40. There is no wrong crowd. From what I’ve experienced it’s all ages, all ethnicities, all various life experiences and none of it matters once you find your common ground. the world as a whole would do well to put that more into practice instead of looking for the divides.2 points

Here I present to you...the first time I have been able to wear the whole suit! I am proud of the progress made. A total of about a week of work (including dry time for e6000).2 points

Hi everyone! I'm Anne from the Wisconsin Garrison. Just got my Legacy Era Female Stormtrooper approved on Wednesday and I'm super excited! Did my first troop today as a TK and it went great!1 point

From how they have named the lenses I would think they are to be used as a mold for vac forming. It's quite easy to make two square frames to hold a piece of plastic, heat then pull over a mold, pretty basic vac forming but it does work. A little like what Jeff has done1 point

Not too sure yet. I am budgeting ~ $200 for the blaster. This project has already set me back $2k and I'm not done. :/1 point

I died laughing when I read your comment. When you troop in the house you have to be comfortable. Waiting to be able to place my order with imperial boots. Plus the blaster.1 point

YES!! Congratulations! Those pieces all look like they fit quite well. Excellent job!!! Sorry, but I have to deduct internet points for not wearing the appropriate white crocs. Everyone knows those are the summer footwear choice of the Empire.1 point

Hi Daryl, I’m following your build as I just got my Denuo Novo kit as well. Great work so far! What is your plan for the top of the shoulders? There is a seam in this kit, but it’s supposed to be seamless. Still deciding how I want to approach that. Looking forward to seeing more!1 point

I don’t think there’s any reason to deviate from the traditional standards. Just because a scene showed a trooper with his boot flying off shouldn’t mean there is a new one boot trooper1 point

I’m approaching 40 but have trooped with many people older and younger. Once the helmet is on, the age difference disappears. I hope you find the answers you’re looking for. Given the common ground that we all have (trooping, Star Wars, raising money for charity etc.), I’ve found that age is not really a divide at troops. [emoji16]1 point

It's a great feeling when you first put on that armor. Nice work, time to work the kinks out and perhaps some less casual footwear1 point

Great to see your progress Daniel, I like the way you are advancing, pound by pound, one step at at time not in a hurry. Keep on fighting Trooper1 point

Very strange they painted over the cheek lines as Sandies still have these, may have been overkill of weathering who knows Not specific to the Remanent troopers but found this image full of details and didn't want to forget them at a later stage. Drop box has a recessed area on the rear for addition of the elastic. A plethora of gaffa tape Nice gash in the side of the ab, I'd say the chest may have been cutting into the ab with excessive movement. Also shows the Y strapping on the side of the thigh, with coverings. Having played with position of strapping in the past the Y strapping on the side would not allow for very much movement of the thigh, this is probably why we see so many images with the tops of the thighs hitting the belt/cod. And here again the straps with the covering sleeves. There is a white section which goes around the rear of the belt and attaches to the front belt section, looks like it could be velcro. They really went to town on this helmet. We see more gaffa tape, here it's on the chest. I've not looked closely at a Black Series TK helmet for a comparison. You can just make out light through the tube stripes. And shoulder support tab1 point

So I jerry rigged it together. For 2 days work in between uni home work I gotta say I'm very proud. I still need to adjust and add a few things but I think it's getting there. I'll probs lay shift over to a regular build thread too as it doesn't seem many people check the foundry in comparison. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk1 point

good question! I wondered how it would do in reality as well. It works perfectly! Maybe not so obvious is in extremely noisy situations you may need to turn your head to hear better (by noisy I mean right in front of a DJ booth) besides that though it worked flawless. I didn’t use grommets either just the pressure from the seal and some foam on the inside and no fan vibes picked up. The bigger surprise was the icomm mic picked up the bass vibrations in the helmet from the music and annoyingly clicked on and off (which in a way could be a positive I guess).1 point

Weekly update! Starting weight: 191 lbs Goal weight: 150 lbs Current weight: 182 lbs I'll be seeing an endocrinologist on Thursday to hopefully get things figured out once and for all!1 point

Looks like a good repair! I'd certainly enforce the back side with an extra layer of plastic in that general area. A wide arc of glued in material (doesn't even have to be ABS) would help strengthen the plate and keep this from happening again.1 point

There's a few different ways to tackle cracks, with any I have found I rough up the area, trim a piece of plastic to go over the crack, apply 2 pack 5 minute glue as I find that grips well then let dry. On my FOTK I use JB weld as it is sandable and can not only support but also fill the crack, and paint is going over so doesn't matter about color difference. Some other threads on the subject1 point
