  1. Yupppp, so the other person he enlisted to help get things back on track is me haha I set out (with a huge assist by @MaskedVengeance) to gather info for potential legal action and found a brother in need instead. Frankly, life hasn't been kind to Daniel lately and he's in quite a deep hole, but he's coming out of it, has no intention of ripping people off, and wants to make good as best he can. I'm somewhat local to him and a project manager by trade, so I volunteered to help handle business/order management and communication/updates so he can just focus on production. I'm still optimistic and hoping he can dig his way out but hopefully my assistance in eliminating any known roadblocks or excuses will eventually benefit the community. No way I'm gonna let him leave everyone hanging but I'd rather seek positive outcomes if I can. Expect email updates soon if you've reached out to myself or Caleb and we'll be hopefully working our way through most of the backlog by end of Q1 and implementing better business practices moving forward so this doesn't happen again. Consistent updates are coming soon and I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding in the meantime.

  2. Thanks, as always, for the advice. Obviously, I don’t want to settle for basic and plan to aim higher. But I’m also very keen to get into the club first! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I would think you would be OK for basic approval but that's entirely up to your GML. Armor workshops are great for situations like this were you don't have all the tools required, but covid put a stop to a lot of those. You could always reach out to your Garrison and see if anyone local could lend a hand.

  4. So, I took EIB approval photos... and on the pix, my magnet-aligned torso armor decided to do this: It's not bad at all, but after taking the pix, I learned that the magnets can misalign themselves ever so slightly in either direction. It's not very much, but it's enough to be annoying. The magnets seem to have a little bit of grab in them. They don't slide smoothly, but can rather grab and lock down kinda. I needed something to ensure that they'd align perfectly every time. I could ask someone nearby to align them for me when I suit up, but it seemed like with a little thought, I could come up with something simple to do it. Like a little key to lock it in place just right by itself. So I was looking at the armor and I noticed that the space between the boxes was a perfect natural slot. If I had a key in one half, it would naturally close at perfect alignment every time. So I made a key. Two layers of spare material seemed to be just right. I wanted it to have some strength and not accidentally bend on a bad closing. Two layers seemed better than one. After getting E6000'd over night, I ground the two layers down to the right 13mm dimension for the 13.7mm slot. I gave it a little rounded edge as well to help the key shoot easily into the slot. Another night of E6000. And there we are! Half of the torso now has a key to align the magnet boxes. Hot keyway action. It's simple but I'm really pleased with this mod. Mod to a mod. Repeated opening, closing, and test fitting on myself showed that the magnet boxes close perfectly every time. I hope the misalignment doesn't come up with the EIB review.

  6. Hopefully this will help the biceps and shoulder bells. All in all it's a decently nice fit with very little gap anywhere.

  8. So I did my best to suit up by myself. Lord I'm in pain now. It took forever. Everytime I'd get one shoulder bell and bicep right the other would pop out from stretching to get the other one in. I also found out the shins ride up. So I snapped them . (Now that I can do that) Gonna try again later tonight. Can't get my latex hand guards to stick on my gloves, so I'm making straps. Another question. Can I cut more neck relief so I'm not feeling like I'm being choked all the time?

  9. Thank you, @gmrhodes13. I expected that. This changes my plans for how to make it work with the Blast FX as this seems to be mostly oriented on the ANH Blaster.

  10. Yes you need the correct blaster for each particular costume. There is an ESB blaster which is the same as ANH minus the power cylinders and Hengslter also swap out the sight, some 3D files are available for the scope, so there's that option The ESB promo shot shows a blaster without a D ring, whether the DO's will accept that only they can answer @Deployment Officer Team

  14. Most logos will come off with a bit of acetone and careful work with a rag, I did that on mine and suffered no discoloration of the shirt or pants. I use the DrSkin brand off Amazon. Shirt: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6WZW3W/ Pants: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RMG3020/ The X pattern stitching on the side of the pants is hidden by the thigh armor. Since I use a thigh garter belt setup, it covers the writing on the waistband (which doesn't come off). Even if you're not using a belt it's not a problem, it's hidden under the armor.

  16. This. EIB should be a checklist. Giving people incentive to make their suits that much better. Centurion should be a freakin' trial by fire and nitpicked to death to make sure every detail is proper, with the CRL for Centurion level being more of starting point than a finish line. A lot of the negativity in this thread was based on an inappropriate level of nitpicking on the EIB app with an extremely unnecessary condescending attitude.

  17. Congrats, Michael! You look great and I will hopefully see you in a joint troop sometime (Celebration at the least). ------------------------------- On the topic of EIB and Centruion...my view is that EIB is mostly a checklist award and Centurion is achieved by actively demonstrating the willingness to go above and beyond. It's derived from and embodies the spirit of troopers helping troopers. The application post being the start of a journey, and the suggestions are opportunities for improvement. That an item might be missed on an earlier application is not a misfortune for the current person but a boon for a better suit. That said, I readily admit to having a few moments of exasperation during my application process. During those times I considered backing out and being happy with EIB. While I know it is not the intent, it can come across a bit like being picked on, death by a thousand cuts, etc. It would be nice to have a more thorough and ongoing list of items. It would save frustration and time for both the applicant and DO. I don't think applicants are looking to skirt requirements, but the process can be nebulous and feel a bit like a Sisyphean task at times. In the end it comes down to fit and polish relative to the applicant's body size, body type, and the armor kit of choice. There isn't a way to encapsulate that ideal that doesn't involve visual inspection and possible adjustments.
