  1. The black one is a two-part and you just pop the top part off and you’re all set

  2. I trimmed the AB plates, measured the button decals supplied by AP, traced around and cut out on painters tape. Here we are after 2 coats and a toothpick clean up.

  3. Hi Alex, and thank you for your application for ANH Stunt Centurion! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of CENTURION. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. You did it brother! Just a few small details we hope you will address to make this armor one step closer to perfect: It is seen in your first photos, but in the last ones it appears that the white elastic loop has slipped off the shoulder bridge/back plate tab, causing it to ride up. Something to keep an eye on when suiting up. As noted before, your kidney plate flares out on the sides (photo 1). This is mostly apparent when seen from the front, especially on the right side (photo 2), and in looking at one of your EI photos (3) it actually overlaps the chest slightly. Reference image This is what I would suggest: Trim down the kidney on the right side. This means you would no longer have the "notch" at the bottom, but that is no longer a requirement for Level 3 so you are good to go. I would also add some strapping as seen in the second 2 photos below to keep things in place. In a perfect world the ab and kidney should meet up perfectly, but if there is a slight overlap it looks much better to have the ab overlapping the kidney and not the other way around. Reference images And that's it! All the work you did on those updates has paid off, so you are now officially part of the "Original 500" Troopers to reach Centurion. Gut gemacht, Alex, und mein Eimer geht an Sie, Sir!

  7. Here is the belt so far. As for the canvas belt itself, it was way too long Others had suggested exactly what I was thinking...trim off the excess. After looking at several reference images, doing a test fit with the TD attached and taking some measurements; I was wondering about using the TD for a reference of the trim line and cut right here. If I were to trim the belt where I have marked it, would this be correct and accurate (especially for L3)?

  8. I had a mishap when I glued the hand guard to the glove. Not only did some glue spill ooze out under the guard, but there was a fold that I did not see when I glued onto the glove. So I decided to cut the guards off the gloves because there was no recovering it with the thumb fold glued underneath, oh well, live and learn. Just went out to get 2 sets of gloves instead (1 being a backup pair). This time I had a better understanding and was well prepared. Here are my new gloves ready for L3.

  9. A lot has happened in the past couple of weeks, so I'll bring everyone up to speed with what I have done since my last post. There was a clamp dent in the side of my sniper knee which had to be either bent back into place, or trimmed off. After dipping that part into boiling water and taping several paddle pop sticks together, I clamped the sticks in and on top of the groove dent and clamped hard. By doing this several times, the dented part of the sniper knee bent back straight once again. Before After The split rivet/snap for the cod. Installed snaps and a slot system to keep the Ab/Kindey plates from moving and overlapping. Drilled holes on the Ab/Kidney sides and even glued some ABS plates for extra strength. I even crested a slot system for the other side to level out and also prevent sliding/overlapping.

  14. Over Christmas I finally feel I've finished the painting process of the helmet. This had to be the most difficult portion of the entire build. I hope it meets or exceeds inspection. Although, I have gotten pretty proficient at mineral spirits and paint removal... After reviewing the Ohio Garrisons' youtube however I found that most use 15 tubestripes. So I added 2 more just to comply with and more match my brother Troopers I put my black mark on the 2nd rib of the ear, to the center. I could change that to the very rear, but I'm not sure it means anything anyways. But the point is, I finally finished (I think and hope) the helmet painting. Hand painted. No decals.

  17. Oh yea I've watched all the RS videos but I also have to compare with what others input, as with the case in the belt segment. But yea I've watched Simons' segment many times. It's funny though when it swaps back to Rob and he's like, and there you go, SIMPLE as that. it's THAT SIMPLE. I cringe every time he says that. But yea slow going here. I tend to just get the gray on each trap daily. I have fingered it before so I tend to just let it dry for the day, move to the next trap. Going to try masking the pinstripe this time. I'd just like to get all the gray on nicely now. I've not attempted to thin it with mineral spirits from the get go. I've had lots of problems with this, so I'm just going very slow this time around.

  18. Color is the issue so using any old plastic may not do the trick. I would try to contact RS props again they may have missed your email.
