With all that's going on in the world, many of us are staying at home and wondering what to do to keep our sanity, lol. Here are a few suggestions that will help you get ahead so that when it's time to troop after all this you will be prepared. 1. Break out the armor bin- Since most of us only see our armor during a troop, maintenance issues can be forgotten, "I'll fix that later....". Well, it's later. Taking out each piece and examining it for cracks, loose straps, scratches, etc. will put you ahead of the game. 2. Line your armor bin- If you have access to a fabric store or even Walmart (many are still open) consider picking up some 1 inch thick foam sheets and spray glue to line the inside of your bin. This will help prevent it from jangling around during transport. 3. Clean your armor- On many troops, we sweat. Although the under suit absorbs most of it, the ABS can really start to reek over time, especially if not wiped down after an event. To help keep your bin and from smelling like a gym locker, grab some disinfecting wipes (or even plain old soap and water) and give the inside and outside a good cleaning. While your'e at it, air out your boots and gloves. 4. Organize- Once you get everything clean and ready, organize and pack everything away in preparation for your next troop. This way you will be ready to walk out the door knowing you haven't forgotten anything. Still bored? Spend some quality time here on the FISD- There are a lot of future (and existing) Troopers who need help and guidance. Remember back when you first started your white armor journey and pass your knowledge along to those who have questions. EI and Centurion- If you are already approved at Basic level, consider taking some time to bring your armor to the next levels of screen accuracy. Binge watch all the SW films- (It's OK if you fast forward through all the scenes with Jar-Jar Binks). Stay safe, and if anyone has any other ideas post em' up!

I've been infected with that "imperial virus" just a few years ago...more specifically it happend 1979 My whole life it has been a dream to be a Stormtrooper...and NOW (!!!) with the youthful age of 54 this dream came true Approved last Thursday...I did it!!! I'm proud to be part of the legendary 501st legion and thus part of the 1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment Ready for duty!

Hi Roy, looking great trooper , mine is an RWA armor too. so cool ! I would like to make some suggestions , According to the CRL, to add the following photos that I'm sure the D.O. Team will ask you for: 1- Close photo :Right and Left ,outside and inside of your Thigh ammo pack to see the rivets type. Level two certification (if applicable): Thigh ammo belt is attached to thigh with a solid head rivet, painted white, in the upper corner and fastened to the lower thigh ridge. The rivets used shall be single cap, double cap or split rivets. No pop rivets allowed. Rivet should be approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter (exterior). 2- Close Photo of your Sniper Knee Right and Lef side to see alignment Level two certification (if applicable): Sniper knee plate must be aligned with the ridges on the shin. Sniper knee plate must not have visible rivets or fasteners attaching it to the shin. 3- Close Photo of your boots: Level two certification (if applicable): There is no seam present on the front of the boot. Boots have a black sole 4- Close photo of your ab section to see the ab buttons . A split (bifurcated) or single cap rivet is present on the lower tab (cod area) of the abdomen armor. Rivet does not need to be functional. Rivet on must be brass or silver in color, approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter and is not painted. 5- Close photo of your chest to Back plate connection to see the white fabric Chest and back shall be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders. 6- You may want to add some white color to your Hovi tips Correct 'Hovi mic' aerator tips are present. Screens used shall be of a wide type mesh, with the rim of the mic and the inside white or painted white. The D.O team will let you know of any additional photos to submit and corrections if need. Got the gaskets, straps and, Velcro finished up. After a test fit of the assembly I’m able to have a full range of motion, even doing jumping jacks, with everything staying in place and no binding or pulling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with Dan (cableguy), despite i like the lower brow look, is more screen accurate put the brow with a small separation from the top of the eyes and I'm aiming to swat level, so, i don't have much of a choice there.
