scrappa[501st] Posted April 18, 2007 Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 hi every one glad ive made it here . i am here for a few reasons i am the new GML/GWL for terror austrais garrison and for a long time ive been trying to decide what armor i should do TK or TX. they both look unreal at the monmet im leanig towards TK as money is tight and its a little cheaper plus its the 30th aniversary. but dont know what mods would need to be done to the kit im concidering getting if any. i dont know what the armor is classed as either if some one can help me the armor is sold by the same guy who sells the black kits on ebay all the time known as sith armor. it looks ok to me but im not an expert on TK armor yet im getting better but thank you all for any help scrappa Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Scott M.[TK] Posted April 18, 2007 Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 Welcome to the show, Brad!! Regarding the armor, what you are lookin at is what is referred to as FX. (BTW, I am NOT the expert here, nor do I play one on TV, but I will share what I know, and others can keep me in line) The FX is an accepted form of armor by the 501st and the FISD (I own a set, and I am very happy with it), but it is not the most screen accurate armor out here. This forum is a great place if you are looking for more screen accurate armor, and the good folks here can point you in the right directions. As for the black TX, since it was never on screen, most people have the FX as their armor. I assume others can do black as easily as white, so you might be able to use that as a different direction. Not sure if this was any help, but I had to get my multiple posts in, so I thought I'd be long winded and type a little. You did a nice job on your clone, so you should have no problem with a TK (or TX). We're a bit partial to the TK as you might imagine. scrappa[501st] Posted April 18, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 yeh im thinking of the space pack version on a white tk and i will do the tx next year maybe. i cant aford the ap stuff so i was going to do that armor i found i thought it was the fx gear but it had glue on teeth not moulded like my freinds must be new face. and thank you for the compliments on my clone it was my first costume in the 501st and has been re done 3 times already and is now becoming an arc trooper with a mini gun and rocket launcher. i love my new roll as GML as i am every where now i try to only go on 3 differnt fourms a day it just gets to much and i forget where i am up to on each one or which one im on thanks for the advise every one and the warm welcom Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you mean the tractor beam ones, you'll be hard pressed to find a good close up of the tanks etc. I'm hoping the new making of star wars book reveals a little more about them. My current (waiting on the back burner project) is the space TK. I have bottles, hoses and grey webbing etc just need a good, good. good view of the backpack so I can complete it properly.
