  8. Hi there, this Saturday (August 2nd) members of the German and Swiss Garrison trooped to find out if an Armybase can resist the power of the Dark Side . 21 troopers, scouts, Bountyhunters, Pilots, Sith Lords, Jawa and Officers accompanied by some lovely princesses and a Mini Clone went to Grafenwoehr for the 3rd year already to add some Star Wars to their annual German-American Volksfest. Arriving in pouring rain in the morning, the troops passed the security checks and went to their dressing room... a shower *lol* and NO!! we all behaved, no shower jokes reenacted we already worried that the weather will stay like that but we were lucky. the Fest started at 11 am and at 11:30 the sky cleared and it was a warm, sunny day with thousands of people having a good time. 11. The parade preparing to march a.k.a. "where is my place here"? coming out of the backstage area parade as parade can
  12. Last weekend about 190 members of the Austrian Outpost, Dutch Outpost, Swiss Garrison, Italica Garrison, Fanwars Garrison, Belgian Garrison, UK Garrison and German Garrison invaded the Moviepark in Germany. Due to some organisational issues of the park not everything went as planned but all costumers turned the event into a big success anyways. But well... here are some pics!
  13. turning 28 in october... though I look older in the mornings, especially after a after-troop-party about 1 1/2 years left until I'll jump right into my midlife-crisis *heehee*
  14. Seems that we'll be in the US in June. we plan to stay in Orlando at the end of June. No armor in the suitcase but maybe there will be a possibility to hang out with some 501st-ers there
  15. Interesting question... in my case it is easy to answer: give me hand made music and I'm happy. Guitar, Bass, drums/percussion and a singer and the chance is pretty good that I'll like it I dont have a sense for Techno and Hip Hop, not my style. I listened to a lot of Rock/Metal as well as Medieval Style music... and since I was in Vegas last may (Harrah's hotel, 1st floor *lol*) I quite dig country music.
  16. this discussion is very interesting as it shows how different "the world" handles weapons *lol* over here you need a license to carry and own weapons that is not easy to get. you either have to be police/military or licensed hunter and then you can apply for a weaponslicense (german word is Waffenschein). It is only granted for 3 years then you have to apply again. it is not that easy to get that license, I personally only know 1 person who got that license. When I go to events where I want to carry my blaster then it is in the box or in a closed backpack. Usually we check with the organiser if we can carry the blasters openly or if we need to keep them holstered in costume it is pretty obvious that it is not a "real" weapon. Airsofts have been forbidden until a couple of years ago. Now it is allowed to sell them if they have more than 0,5 and less than 7,5 Joule and if the buyer is older than 18. it is allowed to own and transport them but not if they are ready to shoot and if you are in public. only semi-automatics are allowed... quite complicated *lol* I for my part am happy that not everyone can buy a weapon! If I knew that every nerd can buy a weapon in a store... *help*
  17. *lol* that discussion sounds very, very familiar who cares, noone knows how people were chosen and the parade is over for almost one year already. There are always events that you'd like to do but can not attend because of various reasons. I admit: I was jealous of those who could attend Celebration 3 I was jealous of the rose paraders I was jealous of those who were able to troop with Al BUT I am happy for those who were at those events I am happy that they wrote such great mission reports and posted them I am happy that I can do other troops that are as great and awesome as the above mentioned If there is another possibility to troop with Weird Al then please greet him from me and tell him to come to Europe (and maybe ask him for an autograph )

    DVD interest list

uhm... I admit that I didnt read any of the T*E versus GINO threads as I have enough bitching and catfights in real life but the DVD-title made me curious. 150 bucks for a couple of pictures?? I'm sorry, seeing how long I have to work to get 150$ then I have to say: never. In the end it is a couple of pics where I have no idea what they show. There was a teaser pic that I found when searching this boards for WTF that DVD could be about. Yay.. a shelf of plastic parts, obviously troopers, but nothing that really makes me drool. I'm not that crazy about the whole "mine is more authentic than yours", but I wondered why people were freaking out about it *lol* I agree with your line "dont like it, dont buy it", true enough. I wont buy it because it would make more sense to spend 150$ on the next costume or into an upgrade of mine. If you want this DVD to be an advertising for your work, fine, but then it is way to much.. if people spent that money for the DVD to see what they get then they may lack the money when they want to buy the armor finally. or do they get a 150$ discount when they finally buy one of your armors? if producing a DVD costs 20$ and you get 150 for one then you earn 130.. that is quite much. and if I got it right then there are pics of the archieves in there as well? do you have the OK by LFL to sell them?
  19. great work there!! If I had kids I'd surely get them some armor
  20. *muahaha* think you can add me without me noticing it?? never ;) Zeit für Rache ;)

  21. the only kids/minors that troop with us are the kids of the members. We have some Events (for example in Parks/Cons) that are open for costumed visitors, but those visitors are in no way related to us and we have no responsibility for them. Best is to check with your local garrison if they have such Events.
  22. maybe maybe... do you already know the dates for next year?
  23. there were 4 members of the UKG who did a whole squad they looked great. I think Sven from my Garrison took his RC to CE as well.
