Hi! New TK (ANH STUNT) in the making. Currently piecing everything together. I was wondering what underbelt you guys are using for attaching the thigh armor? I've seen recommendations on white canvas belts, but I'm having trouble finding anything for the underbelt. Thank you in advance.

Made my own from nylon, some use leather belts, they can be as simple or complicated as you want. Some use snaps to connect some use glue and some use velcro.

Adding suspenders helps to keep the thighs from dropping, added a back brace, keeps my nice and upright, no slouching

I do have a harness for some of my costumes to hold other armor pieces with adjusters

I have nothing to add but a humble +1 to Glen's post.  A black nylon "tactical" belt is the way to go.

Dude, that belt is super clean! By any chance, you don't make/sell them do you? If so, I'd definitely be interested! Thank you for the info.

Sorry I do not sell them, shipping is ridiculous these days

Hi Noah,

For attaching the thighs, I use a very old, worn-out leather belt with suspenders.  It was intended to be temporary when I put my TK kit together back in 2016, but it works and I never got around to getting a nicer one.  The picture of Glen's nice belt reminds me that I should get a new one!

The recommendations you refer to for white canvas belts might be for the visible belt on the exterior?

I use something very similar to what glen posted.  They aren't too hard to make, and you can sew, use a tri-glide, or rivet as Glen has. I used 1" webbing as I had some to hand, looks like glen used around 1.25-1.5" which would be better.

Ahh, interesting. And yeah, the white canvas belt recommendations are definitely for the visible exterior.

I do not use a belt, i just snap them with elastic straps to the belly-cod. One at each side. But i really like the idea of a belt!! I may copy that hahaha. The rest if the upper armor is snapped into two black thick elastic straps that goes from the back to the shoulders and then to the front and are held via velcro.

I use these Duty Belts from Amazon and make my own drops with 1.5" nylon web, triglide buckles, and line 24 snaps with corresponding anchors E6000'ed into the thighs. It works well for me - easy to put on, comfortable, and the velcro on the belt helps keep the drops from drifting side to side. Hope that helps!

I'm a CQR tactical belt enjoyer. I'm actually wearing one as I type this with my normal pants. Very soft nylon, yet super resilient. No visible wear really over the past 2 years of daily wear.  My trooping one looks very new.

I've had very rigid tactical belts that ended up hurting my back after a few hours in kit just because of their rigidity.
