Nice to meet you. I gave up many times, thought many times, and worried many times, but I bought ANOVOS armor with new hope in my heart, but it didn't arrive even after more than three years across the Pacific Ocean. The company changed, the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, and two more years later, in 2024, the "Denuo novo FOTK TLJ" arrived. I am currently aiming to join the 501st Japan branch, and I will start assembling this armor from now on. Of course, I still don't have enough necessary parts and information. I would like to aim to complete it with the enthusiasm and advice of the many seniors gathered here. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

 

はじめまして。何度も諦め、何度も考え、何度も悩みましたが、新たな希望を胸にANOVOSアーマーを購入しましたが、太平洋を越えて3年以上経っても届きませんでした。会社が変わったり、COVID-19パンデミックが発生したり、さらに2年後の2024年に「Denuo novo FOTK TLJ」が届きました。私は現在501st日本支部への入隊を目指しており、これからこのアーマーの組み立てに取り掛かります。もちろん、必要なパーツや情報はまだまだ足りません。ここに集まった多くの先輩方の熱意とアドバイスを頂きながら完成を目指したいと思います。どうぞよろしくお願い致します。

imgur　という写真を管理する無料のサーバーサイトを

多くの方々が利用していますが、

残念ながら私のPCや回線状況によるものなのか、全くアクセスすることができず利用できません。

アーマーの組み立て進捗状況をお知らせする際に、写真は有効だと考えてるので、

何か別の方法やサイトがあれば、ご享受ください。また、そのようなサイトを利用しなくとも、

ここのサーバーに直接投稿しても構わないのであれば、それにこしたことはありません。

 

アーマー組み立ての現状は、TLJの特徴のひとつともいえる、上腕部のパーツの一部変形作業をしています。

 

Hello everyone.

Many people use imgur, a free server site for managing photos, but unfortunately, perhaps due to my PC or internet connection, I am unable to access it at all and cannot use it.

I think that photos are effective in letting you know the progress of the armor assembly, so if there are any other methods or sites, please let me know them. Also, if you don't mind posting directly to this server without using such a site, that would be great.

Currently, I am working on partially transforming the upper arm parts, which is one of the characteristics of TLJ.

As you said, I also tried imgur at first after finding this forum you introduced. However, as I wrote earlier,

it doesn't display correctly on my PC and the screen turns black. I think it's probably a security issue on the host server in my country or on the line.

So it seems I'm in an environment where I can't use imgur. Rather than investigating or changing the settings on my PC or app, I'd like to try other photo management apps as soon as possible. That way I can show you all my photos sooner. I appreciate your appropriate advice.

There are some other image hosts but I have not tried them, it may be worth giving them a go

当初の計画では、昨年中に製作を終え、501st日本支部への入隊を申請し、今年のSWCJに日本支部の一員として参加する予定でした。しかし、時間的な都合でいろいろと都合がつかず、SWCJ開催前に参加するのは非常に難しいと悟りました。今年の初めには、もっとシンプルに鎧を作ろうと考え、細かいことは気にしなければ間に合うかもしれないと考えていました。
しかし、501st日本支部の先輩がこう言ってくれました。「鎧は急いで作ると失敗すると取り返しのつかないことになる。丁寧に作った方がいい」また、「丁寧に作業すれば、完成した時には一生大切にできる宝物になる」と。
それで、私の製作はゆっくりと、しかし確実に完成に向けて始まります。

全てのパーツを削り、切断面を軽くする作業と並行して、TLJ装甲を製作する過程で特徴の一つと思われる上腕部の切断部分の製作に着手しました。これは、このサイトの偉大な先輩方からのアドバイスを聞き逃してしまい、指示通りにパーツをカットしてしまったためです。

When I access imgur using Chrome on my regular PC, an ad appears at the top and a three-second countdown appears on the right, after which the entire screen goes black. At first I suspected that it was due to my PC settings, and searched various websites, but the cause remained a mystery. I realized that I could turn off the intrusive ads by using an incognito window, so I started using imgur little by little.

 

Is my use of Direct link correct?

I used some leftover armor scraps with E6000 adhesive to trim the corners of the upper arms at an angle, which is a characteristic of TLJ.

I used epoxy putty to fill in the gaps in the joints, then used polyester putty to create an even smoother surface. This was my first experience using putty, and I ended up ordering the wrong type of putty when I ordered it. What arrived at my house was lacquer putty, not polyester putty. I looked up the instruction manual and watched YouTube, and there didn't seem to be much difference in how they were used, so I used them as they were. In other words, this image is of the lacquer putty. I'm very worried about the finished product because I have nothing to compare it to. But I'm going to keep using the file to smooth out the surface.

 

 

This is an image using epoxy putty.
This is Cemedine.CO epoxy putty for plastics.

 

 

For the lacquer putty, I used Tamiya putty basic type.

 

 

Starwars Celebration Japan 2025 will be held from April 18th.
Are there any of you seniors who will participate? I will participate in the event. It was my dream to participate with armor approved by the 501st Japan Chapter, but unfortunately I will not be able to make it in time. However, I am very excited to be able to exchange SW culture with many people. I have also prepared my first SWAG.

I use something similar to this call JB weld, can be sanded and painted.

 

There is a thread for those going to celebration but unfortunately it is in the 501st member area of the forum so you won't be able to access it. We do have a couple of FISD staff who will also be attending. 

 

There are group photos mainly on the Sunday both FISD and the 501st photos will be taken.

RL 11.30am

FISD 1.30pm

501st at 2pm

JRS 2.30pm

Spec Ops 3pm

 

The group photo area is outside (location A), so no ticket/badge is required. However, if you are wearing a costume, it is likely that the changing room is inside the venue, so you will need a ticket/badge to get in and re-entry.
