Hey and thanks...I've had to place this build on a hold since now with Season 2 out we've seen more updates on the TK. I've brought attention to changes to the file maker and he's been very cool in making adjustment but still more that needs to be worked on. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted April 3, 2023 Report Posted April 3, 2023 A little extra for your reference. Quote

This ended up going no where as the files were hard to work with due to needed modifications. Even more so now that we have seen more of them in the Maul show. Also now with WTF offering an ABS kit, I placed an order, though for helmet I'm going with the file from FolkyPatrol via Esty as it seems more accurate. Now it really just waiting for WTF on the kit. 1 Quote

Aw, that's not what I was hoping to hear! Still hoping we see a completed suit and CRL for this soon! What aspects of the McFlyPrint3D files remained that were problematic? It's hard when you spend a lot of time trying to make something work and then having to let it go. I am glad that you are still keen to create this costume, and I'm sure you will find the ABS main armour will be more durable, plus a lot less effort to assemble and ultimately maintain. Keep us posted Lando. Quote

The upper torso needed the most adjustment that simply became hard to do with a 3d print vs. the flexibility we see from some abs kits. He was cool enough to make some adjustment to parts he could, but after a bit its not the best to ask the creator for continuous adjustments to their work. Seeing what we saw in the Maul show on them, there would probably more needed. Quote

Keep us posted Lando. Yeah it was hard to stop as I really wanted that kit to work. Yet, as we now have more images of them and a Hott Toys figure, it is good I waited due to better accuracy for this new kit...well I hope I'm really looking forward to this kit from WTF... it's one that I totally want to rock at Celebration. It all just depends on when the kits are sent out. I picked up a helmet from Skygunbro-Customs but still printing one out. 1 Quote
