drosch
This got bumped back up for this time of year so right now give me Christmas music. The classics....Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and Dean Martin! I get warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. Nothing makes me feel like a kid more than Andy Williams on the radio....and a new movie accurate bucket under the tree! Oh, and an official empirial issued E-11 blaster - "with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time!" And no I won't shoot my out! I promise Mom! "Scott Farkus had yellow eyes! So help me God, YELLOW eyes!" " I like the Wizard of Oz ... ... ... I like the Tin Man." "Don't bother me.... I'm... uh... I'm thinking." I could quote from that movie all day long... seriously... I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a good Perry Como Christmas tune. My Mom used to play him on 8-track around the holidays. It reminds me of being a little kid.
trooperstormy
Have you guys heard of GWAR? Or how about Cradle of Filth? Back in October my friend Dave (Bassist in Cradle of Filth) asked my girlfriend and I if we wanted to go to a concert for free and get backstage passes. They were on a tour called "Viva La Bands". I said sure! BOTH bands (GWAR & Cradle of Filth) are all crazy Star Wars fans. Dave knew that I had a set of Stormtrooper armor so he asked me if I could bring it to the show. And I did indeed. If you guys want to see the many pictures from the show, I'll be glad to share them on here!
dougefresh
My boss took the whole company to see GWAR in concert a few months ago here in Denver. It was hilarious! Those guys are CRAZY! SO much fake blood! You gotta' love a band with a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex, spewing fake blood from it's newly severed head. Definitely one of the most unique concert-going experiences I've ever had. Have you guys heard of GWAR? Or how about Cradle of Filth? Marvinrobot
The Iron Maiden!!! Acutally my musical tastes are all over the place, but I would consider Iron Maiden a safe bet for rocking out. Old Metallica and Megadeth works too, but Maiden generally tops my Heavy Metal list. If you're gonna die...die with your boots on!

TK1420[501st]
Doug, we'd get along well. I see a lot of my faves on your list. I was a radio DJ in college and after, and I've worked in record stores, so I've got upwards of 3000+ CDs and then some in mp3 downloads. It's a very diverse collection. As to my all-time faves, here's a short list (in no particular order): Ramblin' Jack Elliott Canned Heat John Lee Hooker Morphine B-52's Wilco What's currently in the 6-disc player in the car: Canned Heat M.I.A. Charles Mingus Kanye West Morphine Golden Smog I love all kinds of music- bluegrass, rap, classical, rock, etc. but have come to the conclusion that at least 95% of artists in all genres are felgercarb. I try to skim the cream off the top and enjoy what I can.
Schaf
Interesting question... in my case it is easy to answer: give me hand made music and I'm happy. Guitar, Bass, drums/percussion and a singer and the chance is pretty good that I'll like it I dont have a sense for Techno and Hip Hop, not my style. I listened to a lot of Rock/Metal as well as Medieval Style music... and since I was in Vegas last may (Harrah's hotel, 1st floor *lol*) I quite dig country music.
