  1. ...and yes, I am also dieting hard and already lost 20 lbs but guess what. I lost it everywhere except on my legs/thighs so I am getting frustrated lol My waist is nice and skinny though haha
  2. I know that the RT Thighs can fit up to 26" anyone know what the AM and others fits up to un modded/trimmed? If I want to be able to pull the thighs up nice and high over my girly hips without shims I need a little more then 26" so I am trying to find the maker that has the widest lol. If not I have no choice then to use shims I guess.. Please, if you have anything other then RT and un modded could you please measure and post it? Thank you!
  3. The thing is that it works fine at the beginning, but once I get warm and I begin to sweat inside the helmet and talk a lot in the mic it's when it starts.
  4. Happy Easter everyone!
  5. I'm sure it's no the wire because when I move it down and don't use it for a while then move it back and click it back on and talk it works again. It's very strange. I do have it directly in front of my mouth though and it has the sponge thingy over it.
  6. Now here is my issue. I have the nice little radio shack speaker amp in my chest armor and the wire goes up, under the helmet to my headset with the mic that goes in front of my mouth. At first everything sounds great but after a little while the sound starts to cut out for some reason. Now I am thinking it is from breathing in the microphone and causing some sort of moisture damage that shorts it out? Do you guys have issues with this? and is there a solution for it? or am I just a heavy breather? lol am I keeping it too close to my mouth? I mean, my voice isn't very powerful in the first place so I need all the help I can get haha. Any ideas or advice on this?
  7. Awesome pics!! Wish we could have gone but... being from Alaska... we would die in Florida! lol
  8. I might replace the loop I have around the finger for velcro. Thats a good idea! The top of the belt loops are cut so they no longer stick out I received the CAP helmet and it looks awesome! Now all I need to do is replace the ab buttons and work on is my blaster and I can apply for my TK status, yay!!
  9. haha can you guys tell that the boots are like 1.5 sizes too big? lol. I added some insoles in them to fit a little tighter. the size 10 was the smallest size caboots had.
  10. Thanks everyone! It sure was a lot of fun Now all I need to do is wait on the CAP helmet I traded for and my blaster. I might be able to pull off to become an elite! yay!
  11. Here some pics of me in the local parades. We have 2 here. One in Downtown Juneau and one on Douglas Island. Total time in costume: 7.5 hours Injuries: Bruised upper back of calf from thigh back corner Swollen top of feet from shin armor digging in 1 blister on left heel Bruises in elbow pits from lower arms Not bad for a first troop! Costume had no malfunctions and considered the minor injuries it was quite comfortable and easy to move in Fireworks at midnight (picture from newspaper): Parade assembly grounds with fiancee as Captain America: Posing in front of the truck: Definitely more comfy then the clone armor!!: Walking in the parade waving:
  12. As you wish Fireworks at midnight (picture from newspaper): Parade assembly grounds with fiancee as Captain America: Posing in front of the truck: Definitely more comfy then the clone armor!!: Walking in the parade waving:
  13. I already ordered vader Dave's buttons and am waiting for them so I can remove these and replace them I just had to put these on for the 4th of July parade temporarily. Gotta love goop hehehe Yeah the belt keeps riding up a bit because of my girl hips... I added velcro on a few spots to see if that prevents it. I trooped in the TK today and went in 2 parades. A total of 9 hours in costume on my first troop! The things that hurt: 1.Top of feet from shin armor leaning on it. 2. top back calf from the thigh corner digging into it when stepping over things. 3. Knuckles from hand plates rubbing over them due to the loop I added around finger. So not bad for a first troop
  14. I have a level 80 blood elf ret paladin and a level 80 blood elf unholy death knight, both Horde on Khaz Modan server. I do a lot of raiding with my guild and usually run Naxxramas once or twice a week. We are going for Ulduar next Did you guys get your free mountain dew battle droid pet?
  15. Whoa! That looks amazing!! I bet it will be wayyyyy more comfortable too hehehe
  16. As promised a few more pictures The thighs front: The back with shim: Shin front: Shin back with shim popped out to see what I did using a strip of leather that I dyed white: Now with the calf closed: Yeah... I hate my chunky legs!! lol Hand plates: Detonator, I did't have the banker's clips but found some tablecloth clasps in the camp section of walmart that I bended: See my woopsie with the dremel tool? that will be fixed after the 4th I guess hehe: Filling the side gap with a piece out of a white trash can hehe: Crotch strap: Crotch strap closed: Belt: More pics coming!!
  17. I was going to post pics today but ended up working on my costume too long lol! I promis to have new pics up soon! I glued the backs of my thighs today so those are curing right now. My first troop is this Saturday in the TK so I am stressing now lol!! My plan is to use a belt with straps to keep the thighs up but I wonder how you guys keep the straps attached from the belt to the thighs? Snaps? velcro? parachute clips?? I also will be wearing my MRCE this troop but it is sort of small and doesnt have much roon for a fan? How do you MRCE wearers get air?
  18. I did my belt with the snaps but the abs part keeps popping off the canvas belt on the side when I put it on? How do I keep the snaps from popping loose?
  19. Ha! I have made a lot of progress but oh boy... the legs really are the hardest! Especially having hips and chunky calves! haha. I used thick strips of leather that I dyed white and make shims with. I finished the belt, detonator etc. as well and the hand plates. Basically all that is left is the strapping for the legs and making sideplates which I will be using a white trash bucket for. I have been looking all over the net to find bankers clasps but no luck. The only ones on fleabay wont ship to alaska only if ordered through the site and that charges $87 shipping lol!! I was able to find some cheap tablecloth clamps in the camping section of walmart and bended those to resemble it somewhat. It works I guess. The only thing I am wondering is how to make sure the belt stays in place? the weight of the leather holster seems to make it drop down a bit. Any suggestions? Do you guys use velco? or add a snap here n there? I will post pics in the next day or so
  20. Yeah I have been mind boggling about this too. How do you get the round curves to match up? I bought some white placemats at wallmart that I might try this with. If it works I will post pics. I gots lots of shimming to do with my thunder thighs and calves lmao!
  21. The plan is to eventually organize everything.... lol! I been saying that for almost a year now haha. You haven't seen my storage unit yet  The clone bucket is just for fun, I have all 3 versions, white, wallmart and target exclusives. I was thinking about removing the sound system from the white one and add it into my TK bucket but I have no clue how yet haha. The MRCE I bought intentionally to use but seeing all the mods it needs... I don't know yet. It might be just a collectible display piece
