Well-said guys. Hopefully by mid-2008 I'll have my first armor built and be able to troop. I can't wait to get out there and see all the smiles and looks of wonder on people's faces. I especially can't wait to visit the sick children and see how happy we can make them.

I've looked on myspace for a group for 501st stormtroopers and didn't really find anything good. Perhaps we should form a TK group on myspace? I noticed that there are a good number of stormtroopers with myspace accounts. What does everyone else think?

This is what I've been wondering about. I like your setup Wally. Is it a good idea to permanently connect the thigh pieces to a harness? (well, connect with glue) I was thinking about using two straps from a harness for each thigh (one with velcro, and one with two snaps) What's everyone else's opinion from experience?

Yes, that's it. An under armour hood/balaclava with the part that covers the mouth pulled down I think.

I have also just started to realize all of the differences among the armor. It's a lot to take in, but I plan on learning a bit every day.

I'm not sure, but is there a standard way for TKs to act while trooping? Are they supposed to walk a certain way, stand a certain way, talk a certain way? If there is no standard, how do you guys behave while in armor?

That's a promising looking setup. My friend uses something like that only he uses two snaps, and they only came off when I would sit down in a car. I'm thinking of using velcro and snaps.

I looked on underarmour.com and couldn't find a full body suit, only shirts or legging. Where do I find the black spandex body suits I need? Thanks. Also, what are they called?

My friend has a brother and boyfriend that are stomtroopers, and she told me about the 501st about a year ago. I was 17 at the time, so I couldn't join. Stormtroopers have always been my favorite figures of the Star Wars universe, and hopefully I'll be able to afford to make the armor soon. I can't imagine being able to troop as a stormtrooper (they look badass), and give back to the community and attend all the conventions and events. It sounds like a blast.
