  1. Well-said guys. Hopefully by mid-2008 I'll have my first armor built and be able to troop. I can't wait to get out there and see all the smiles and looks of wonder on people's faces. I especially can't wait to visit the sick children and see how happy we can make them.
  2. Wow Curtis, I can tell you had a blast. Thanks for sharing the pics and the video link.
  3. Yea, I see what you mean. I'm going to go ahead and delete the group and hopefully one of you guys could make a profile for troopers only.
  4. This is the link to the new group: http://groups.myspace.com/501sttk
  5. I'll make one later, because I get really bored and need something to do. In order to keep spam away from here there will be no link to this site on the group. I'll post the link in here late tonight. If anyone objects to me being the moderator of the group please say so
  6. Yea, just thought we'd make a TK group on myspace (private group to keep out spam) just for the hell of it. Wouldn't really be on behalf of FISD par se. Oh well.
  7. I've looked on myspace for a group for 501st stormtroopers and didn't really find anything good. Perhaps we should form a TK group on myspace? I noticed that there are a good number of stormtroopers with myspace accounts. What does everyone else think?
  8. This is what I've been wondering about. I like your setup Wally. Is it a good idea to permanently connect the thigh pieces to a harness? (well, connect with glue) I was thinking about using two straps from a harness for each thigh (one with velcro, and one with two snaps) What's everyone else's opinion from experience?
  9. Well that video actually helped me : p It reminded me to put foam in the forearm pieces
  10. Yes, that's it. An under armour hood/balaclava with the part that covers the mouth pulled down I think.
  11. Yea, I'll have to get used to the fact that no one has any idea who I am.
  12. I was trying out my friend's armor. Check out the Field Training Exercises sub-forum for pictures
  13. Haha, some funny quotes. I went to WalMart yesterday and heard some people refer to me as Darth Vader though

    The 305

    umm, odd, but funny
  15. Yea, I believe it's an original. I think it's pretty cool too, to send an original lightsaber into space.
  16. haha, so that's where that photo comes from. I'd seen it around before
  17. Thanks for sharing the great pics. Looks like a lot of fun, I'd like to go some day.
  18. I have also just started to realize all of the differences among the armor. It's a lot to take in, but I plan on learning a bit every day.
  19. I'm not sure, but is there a standard way for TKs to act while trooping? Are they supposed to walk a certain way, stand a certain way, talk a certain way? If there is no standard, how do you guys behave while in armor?
  20. That's a promising looking setup. My friend uses something like that only he uses two snaps, and they only came off when I would sit down in a car. I'm thinking of using velcro and snaps.
  21. Sweet, I'll definitely have to use this tut for my belt. Thanks a lot
  22. Well I see some people with something that goes around the back and top of their head and looks like it is an extension of the under armor. What is that?
  23. I wonder if these gloves would work: They're isotoner gloves, so they're not rubbery
