john danter
I've got a break from work ATM so am busy revisiting some of my moulds and this week I've been mostly eating ESB hand plates Do they look ok? Or do I need to mod them at all? I mainly based them on this pic here What do you think? They'll be £5 a pair when I'm happy with them Edited January 26, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021

trooper18938
the top photo looks to be from one of the LFL exibits - the bumpy texture being the double-sided tape used to secure the two halves of the gauntlet - ala Boba Fett. troopermaster
Looking good, John! But, the originals are not exact mirror images of each other and you could try blending in the strips so they don't have a hard edge. You can see the hand plates taper up to the top strips rather than being rounded and have the strip on top. They are not shaped how you would expect them to be. john danter
I catch your drift Cheers Paul. What did you base them on? Screen grabs and stuff? They remind me of horses hooves Edited January 8, 2011 by john danter
SamJ[501st]
John, they look great. Matching up nicely to the TS reference pics, may have to grab some off you soon.
troopermaster
Those are photos of TE2 ESB hand plates I was sent as reference for my sculpts. These were cast from a real ESB MKII suit that came from Cameron Oakleys original suit.
john danter
Do those look the same as the snowie shots above though? Could just be the weathering they used on the edges?
troopermaster
They are the same, just pulled in thicker plastic and maybe over trimmed a bit at the wrists. I'd make your moulds sharp and only use the originals as reference. Those photos will help you get the sizes right.
