ATA - Awesome!

I didn't know there was a black option there. Mind you people could fill a book with what I don't know ... and they have.

Now how did I miss your initial post, regardless thanks for pointing it out. I look forward to lookin' at all the cat/build pics and hearing about the building of your own Grand Army of the Republic ... Sounds fantastic!

actually if you do some crazy math you can figure out the cost of that 22 year old cat.

let's see. at .50 cents a can of food, adjusted down from .80 cents to cover the variation in inflation on cat food prices:

2 cans of food ave. per day x 21 years.

plus .75c for bits of human food during each day.

daily adjusted cost: $1.75 per day.

8,035.32837 days times 1.75 per day

equals:

$14,061.8246475

so she's almost the 15,000 cat.

I have wet sanded most of the kit, and I'm just waiting for the correct temperatures to paint black

and then paint clear over that.

will take several days to do.

I've been tacking it with rubbing alcohol.

this is just the jax version of the blackhole. I have a BFG and pouches and pauldron... so I might make it just a little more fancy?

all black lid, and no silver details at all!

Be sure you remove the pouches for the profile and approval pics, bro. You can troop in them all you want, but there isn't a reliable reference for the pouches to be "officially" approved yet.

How come I haven't see your updates on Spec Ops? (Or am I just blind... )

I have been very busy building holsters and blasters... my own armor always takes a second seat to other troopers!

I am very happy to be a member in these locations!

there have been lots of problems in my own personal life in the last few months that have taken almost all my

personal time...

yeah... I'd love to have your opinion on my armor as soon as it's completed.

it's raining, and has not really been hot enough to get a clear coat to cure!

when I get better weather for paint, we'll get er done!

I am a clear coat, a set of dyed boots and a belt away from making the blackhole a reality!

your advice on the pauldron, and pouches is excellent...

I'll follow that advice!

well folks.

today is the sad day where I must announce that my wonderful companion feisty has

been promoted to the special ops squad in the sky.

hopefully she will find lot's of things to do in her missions.

she will be missed.

the best animal I've ever known.

22 years with a single animal is like watching a child with cancer... you KNOW you're gonna lose them... it's just a matter of how, and how

long it's going to take! I can easy remember worrying about her 10 years ago... and she lasted strong for another 12 freakin'

years. her last 4 days were the toughest. she's with the lord now... and it's still hard a week later.

every day I think about her.

so now the other animals in my life have started to take up the slack... my 3 year old male has been paying a lot of extra attention to me

these last few days...

with wondercon planned and paid for, at least I have one massive troop to attend!

after a long hiatus on the black armor I clear coated the following parts:

chest and back

abdomen / cod

kidney and butt plates

belt, thigh power cell and sniper knee

shoulder bells and biceps

tomorrow is legs forearms and lid.

boots are all ready and everything is almost ready to test fit and shoot photos for halloween.

I think I'm gonna troop it this year for the 31.
