  1. Where did you find that link to the old forums? All I can see is the www.50stspecopsdet.net link listed under both the detachment listing and CRL. If there's still the old link floating around, I'll get that handled. -iz
  2. Have a Happy B'day, bro! You deserve it! -iz
  3. Nice. I want one! (But really what don't I want?) -iz
  4. Be sure you remove the pouches for the profile and approval pics, bro. You can troop in them all you want, but there isn't a reliable reference for the pouches to be "officially" approved yet. How come I haven't see your updates on Spec Ops? (Or am I just blind... ) -iz
  5. I really like how those boots turned out. I may need a pair! -iz
  6. There's someone in for approval with a cloth belt right now, so I think we'll find out. -iz
  7. As I stated before. No one but the LMO can say that you can't do it. -iz
  8. Show me a LFL reference with a recognizable cloth belt, and we'll add it to the Det CRL. Until then, Crazas and I will support the belt that matches the source material. I'm going to use your arguement here, it's to be used as a REFERENCE not a list of REQUIREMENTS. In the end EU is up to the LMO, not the Detachment or even the GML on what's approvable anyway. I'm sure you can get approved with cloth, I've just never seen anyone try it. Oh yeah, they're not just black TKs... The armor was made out of different materials. stygian-triprismatic polymer instead of Plastoid. Would make sense that some parts wouldn't be exactly the same material only in black. -iz
  9. Novus is great. If you get a nice shine on your armor, it won't matter how many little scratches there are! I cleaned up a thrashed Magma with it, and the thing shines beautifully! About to attempt it again with a Magma I found in even worse condition. -iz
  10. I love the storage compartment... I need to add one of those on mine. -iz
  11. This HWT almost makes me want to buy a set of white armor... Almost... -iz
  12. Oh yeah. This armor is very well done. A great addition to Spec Ops. -iz
  13. is busy with armor!

  14. Nice. I always love seeing a TX come to life. -iz
  15. Hey, over at spec ops someone was asking about this. Once we get our CRLs pounded out, maybe we can see if Luis wants to pursue adding this in to Spec Ops. Now I just have to ask myself when I'm going white... That Incinerator Trooper was looking nice... -iz
  16. Great! Be sure you come say hi at Spec ops! I just put a new coat of paint on my helmet, I wasn't quite happy with where the gold bars under the tube stripes were placed. So after a few touchups it should be back on duty. I'll post an updated pic for it in the next few days. For my next project I'm going to need the Chest, Back and Shins from an FX/GT kit. They have the right base shape for me to use. Anyone happen to be able to point me in the right direction to be able to grab these? Just these parts would be best, but if some one has an old kit they're trying to get rid of let me know. -iz
  17. Sorry I haven't checked in for a bit. Work, new wife, and Spec Ops has been looking at getting things in order to help streamline costume making. Yes, my DLT-19 is the Cushman one. picked it up a while back and I rather like it. Been thinking for making some mods to it to make it stand out a bit more, I just haven't gotten around to really researching it yet. I need to clean up some other half-done armor projects first, like getting rid of the FX bucket on my Stealthy. About the question concerning "canon" and the costume. Though the timeline of SWG isn't canon the NPCs that cannot be edited by players are considered as a reference for the Nova. The Novatrooper also made an appearance in the SWG card game and the Rebellion Era Sourcebook for the wizards of the coast RPG. As I understand it, since these are LFL approved sources for the design, appearance and name, the Novatrooper is considered a part of the Imperial Army. And yes, it is very satisfying and exciting to have my "baby" grow up and be accepted into the Legion. (Though I would have trooped it anyway without acceptance) So who's going to be the next Nova? -iz
  18. Just got word that Thomas has approved it! Novas are now ready to be an official 501st costume. Guess we better start pounding out the CRL at Spec Ops. Thanks for your support and encouragement everyone, -iz
  19. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I'm just hoping this goes through alright and can become official. On a side note - Why is the Stealth trooper a "protected" forum?
  20. Hey now! You've taken the Stormtrooper Commander and Incinerator Trooper this last year. Gotta leave something for us Spec Ops grunts! If it gets approved it is going to be at CV for the Spec Ops Detachment pics! So maybe I'll see ya there! -iz
  21. Been working on this over at the Spec Ops Detachment. I was going to put it in the Stealth Trooper forum, but apparently I don't have access. Odd. Introducing the Novatrooper. Working on getting this 501st approved, so we'll see what happens. Thought some people over here might be interested in seeing it. WIP threads can be found here: Novatrooper WIP Thread Final Pics and References -iz (TX-4994)
