  1. By the looks of it you could stand to remove a bit more return edge in some areas, this may free up some room for your gaskets. Speaking of which if you're interested Geeky Pink sells great looking gaskets here and through FB.
  2. Looks like they got some nice pulls on the parts from what my untrained eyes can see. I am definitely glad I got Dans holster and other parts from him. And it was nice that they threw in some extra ABS. My magnets came today as well. Went ahead and ordered a bunch as suggested in the Magnets 101 thread. Should be getting my MP40 ammo pouch for the shoulder today. Waiting on my blasters from 3D Props (still no reply to my email asking for an ETA). And lastly just need Dan’s items and my gaskets from Geeky Pink. Again, this is my first build so if anyone sees anything missing or something that needs attention, feel free to let me know. I’m open to any and all advice. Sent from my iPhone using The Force
  3. Hello fellow troopers, Been meaning to post something for a while but work and life seem to always get in the way - so apologies. I will start by saying that I have completed my build and had clearance approved by my local garrison but I still wanted to drop some notes in here on issues I came across / experienced along the way in the hope that it may prove useful or even just interesting to others on this journey......I will also include a bit at the end on some minor upgrades that I have completed and plan on completing, I'm also looking forward to seeing what other bits you guys can suggest to improve my build......... I will break up the build thread so its not just one long post and I will try to post updates as often as possible, but please dont expect anything like the quality of the build threads that ive seen from others, I'm just not that good .....tbh I forgot to take pictures a lot of the time!! So to start the list of bits / kit - Jim's TLJ fibreglass kit - think this was v4 - more on this later.... - Boots from Imperial boots - so comfy...... - Gloves - as above Imperial Boots - Belt - one of Darrens fantastic belts (Belts of the first order) - a work of art. - Undersuit - think this was from stormtrooper undersuit.com with shiny stictched in crotch area (ooer) - Gaskets - Geeky Pink - Neck Seal - Geeky Pink - Harness - home made - Blaster - originally from Heston studios but gave that to my son to play with and went with JJ industries 3d print (with my own electronic bits) - Aerator - 3d abs print from a friend - looks brilliant - Lots of sandpaper of various grades - Filler primer - P38 filler - Various webbing / elastics - Snaps - Small Files - Various screws / ball bearings for holster Pic below is from my BBB day, packaged extremely well and came within a matter of a couple of weeks after placing the order.... Note - Ive posted this in the WIP section but if any Mod feels it needs moving to the general TLJ area then please move ....
  4. I did specify a TLJ armor kit without helmet when I ordered. I’m pretty sure they adjust the kit for which one you order. I’ll post pics of all of the parts in the coming week once I get my BBB. The main item holding me back on Centurion right now is rubber gaskets. Seems they’re not available. I’ve ordered a set of gaskets and neck seal from Geeky Pink for now. Sent from my iPhone using The Force
  5. 6. Just got a tracking number from KB Props.. looks like I made the first shipping run! Says delivery for this week. Sending in my Geeky Pink gasket and neck seal order tonight. Aside from those two items I’m just waiting on my shield, which will be here next week. My leather MP40 ammo chest pouch from IB. Holster and misc other parts from Dan. And my blasters, which I have yet to receive a reply email concerning time frame. Won’t be long! Sent from my iPhone using The Force
  7. No big updates as I’m still waiting on a few items. But my boots finally arrived from Gio! Only took a month total. I ordered Saturday 10/26, he emailed me on Monday 10/28 asking my measurements. And then emailed me on 11/21 asking to confirm my shipping info. You can definitely tell they’re handmade. There is a little wiggle room, but seeing how they’re pretty flat and stiff, I’ll probably add some comfy insoles. In other news.. KB Props seems to be holding up to their promises and are shipping out BBBs starting next week! Should be arriving second week of December or so. Haven’t heard anything from 3-D Props yet on my blasters, but I know he’s super slammed with orders. Also need to talk with Geeky Pink about her gaskets.. she’s probably busy catching up on orders as well. Do you guys recommend Armor first and then order gaskets to fit? Or order the gaskets first? I know she has measurement forms for both. Sent from my iPhone using The Force
  8. Hey everyone, This build thread is a long time coming. I have a KB Props FOTK (TLJ) kit and am building as an Executioner. Armor/Helmet - KB Props Gaskets/Harness/Shorts - Geeky Pink's Phantastic Gaskets (My amazing garrison-mate Teresa) Boots - Imperial Boots Laser Ax - 3D printed parts courtesy of the Edmonton Public Library (EPL) SE-44C - TBD (likely 3D printed by another member of the Badlands Garrison) This is my first full foray into building a costume. My ANH TK was a commission that I did a little work on the achieve EIB. Pictures of build progress too follow...
  9. Well I’m down to only waiting on a few things to come in now.. got my undersuit today. -KB Armor (December) -Gio’s Boots -Blaster Rifle & Pistol Kits (January) -Harness and Gaskets -R2Dan Metal Holster (December) Still waiting for Geeky to reply about opening another run and not sure how long Gio takes to make and ship his boots. Was also able to slide into Dan’s current holster run. One of the guys had to drop from the list. Btw, I tried on the undersuit. I assumed it would be a little snug. I just gotta make sure I watch my eating over the holidays! Wearing the suit by itself kinda makes me feel like this: Sent from my iPhone using The Force
  10. Yup! I’ve got a few things to keep me occupied until the blasters arrive in maybe January. Still need to order my stuff through Geeky Pink. She hasn’t replied since I messaged her, I’m guessing she’s pretty busy. I finally found her page concerning her items. Aside from that I’m looking at the pouches at Trooperbay. Waiting to hear back from Dan to see if I can get on the metal holster run. I think it’s full and everyone has paid up. What else can I do? I suppose I can get paint and supplies for the blasters.. 11. Hey guys! As I stated in my introductory post, I’m new here from Arvada, Colorado. I’m a long time Star Wars fan and have always wanted it to play a bigger part in my life. Now that I’m older and financially able to throw around some money on big boy toys, I’ve decided to make one of those toys a full on armor kit. Looking to build a Centurion Level TLJ FOTK Officer. The image below is what made me choose this character (I’m aware the image is from TFA). I did however jump the gun (before reading all the posts) and ordered armor directly from Anovos. I have since read the posts and I understand the possible sticky position I’ve gotten myself into but I’m also prepared to give another armory an order and sell this one if Anovos takes too long delivering. After a bit of recent research and digging through other builds, I’ve started to collect a few things. Keep in mind I usually go all out when I decide to do some sort of project. So yes, some things might not be necessary, but hey, why not? Helmet: Anovos Lined Standard from private seller on eBay (Received) Hearing/Speaking System: Ukswrath (Received) Trooper Chatter: Ukswrath (Received) Cloth Pouches: Trooperbay (Received) Helmet Electronics: Ukswrath’s 4 fan cooling system with bracket (Received) Comm System: Micom Sound Rig (Received) Phillips Everplay Speaker (Received) Gloves: Endorfinders (Received) Undersuit: StormtrooperUndersuit (Received) Pauldron: MTK Armory (Received) Balaclava: UA Heat Gear Tactical (Received) Boots: Gio’s (Received) Belt: Belts of the First Order (Received) TLJ Armor: KB Props Armor Kit (Shipped) Riot Shield: 850 Armor Works (Shipped) Riot Baton: Amazon (Hasbro) (Shipped) SE-44C Pistol Kit: 3-D Props (Ordered) F11-D Blaster Kit w/ BlastFX: 3-D Props (Ordered) Holster: R2Dan (Ordered) Gaskets: Geeky Pink (Ordered) Neck Seal: Geeky Pink (Ordered) Harness: Geeky Pink (Ordered) A few of the items I have yet to order. Still looking into what to get and what items are the best looking and best quality for the money but most importantly, what will allow Centurion Level approval. Please provide any comments or advice to help me along, I’ll definitely need it once assembly starts. Looking forward to this journey with you guys and I will be sure to post pics as things happen!

  17. It's been over a year since the last update. Currently, things have progressed quite a bit: Armor - BSP contacted us last week to tell us our shipment would be going out that week. We have not heard back since, but we have seen pictures of armor parts in boxes, we should be getting a tracking number very soon. Helmets - Still no group buy for these. Individual members have been buying helmets where they can find them, some are finding Anovos helmets, others going with KB and other sources. Gaskets - Our local progress on this has not progressed, no one locally is currently producing gaskets. Most members are looking at ordering from Geeky Pink. Soft Parts - Lots of the soft parts have been purchased by our group members. A group order covered almost all of the gloves people needed. Body suits and shorts people are getting from various locations. Boots continue to be sourced independently, lots of us who have ANH boots are going to use those. Blasters and Accessories - Some group members have started picking these up, but the focus is still very much on completing the armor for approval. As of this writing, it is not clear how many of us will be able to complete our builds before Rise of Skywalker, which was our initial goal. We started this process in late 2017/early 2018. It is now getting into late 2019 and we have not had delivery from BSP. BSP has not been very communicative, it is hard to get updates from them because they are busy and there is a language barrier. BSP initially promised delivery by Summer of 2018, we have now passed the summer of 2019. This is frustrating, and certainly has cost us a lot of time that could have been used to build kits. When BSP does communicate, the updates range from promising to concerning. Many parts had to be redone, multiple molds had to be reconstructed. We have been given multiple delivery and shipment estimates. The armor we have seen looks good, but when we will get it is still in question.
  18. Rogue One TK Sources (updated 8-10-2020) Since I keep seeing these questions popping up from time to time, I figured I would make this simple for everyone. I do not have experience with some of these sources so if any of you do please chime in. Further, I am not pushing or supporting any of these sources, I am just providing you all the list and what they provide, and you choose who and what you want to go with. Lastly, If I do have experience with a specific source, I will note that and my overall experience with them. I am not pushing any sources, rather supplying you a list to work from if you are having a hard time finding stuff. Please feel free to add to this or provide "creative" comments. ROTK Sources Jimmiroquai Armor, Helmet, Under Suit jimmiroquai@yahoo.com Jim was the first source for ROTK armor and is considered very accurate. The armor is flexible fiberglass and requires painting. 19. Welcome! I'd suggest taking a look in the TFA and TLJ TK sections for strapping ideas. Teresa at Geeky Pink can also supply you with neck seal and a harness (should you choose to use one) and is super helpful with any questions you have as she's a Phasma as well! Chroming appears to be the biggest challenge for most for this costume. I had read some stories that look like nightmares so I would suggest just researching this thoroughly! Are you getting the fingers from KB as well? Wasn't sure if they make those. You may also want to look into getting yourself a blaster. Looking forward to your progress!
