  1. Awesome, I'll have to check that out. Thanks for keeping your eyes open!
  2. Related question (no hijack intended): How does suiting up at an event like this work? I can't imagine there will be a secure location to keep bins and get changed. So I guess changing in the parking garage (I would be driving in) is the norm? And if you want to go back into your "civies" you have to go back to your car? IF I get my TK done in time, and get my 501st ID, and can afford a ticket I really want to join the party since it's in my backyard. I too have never done a con.
  3. Would the kind of paint affect results? My house is painted with an insulating paint to help keep the Florida heat out. I wonder if this would help on the inside of the armor, or would it hurt because it would keep body heat in.
  4. That's my future squad here in the Florida Garrison.
  5. Wow, thanks guy. Saved me a headache for sure.
  6. I plan on using E6000. Super strong, flexible and has not let me down on the rest of my build.
  7. The drawbacks I've heard from others is the feedback issue and that some don't find these powerful enough. That's why I'm opting for amps/speakers behind the chest plate.
  8. You should really follow the instructions in my post, i.e.: run in safe mode, run rkill, etc. This will get rid of the "items that could not be removed". Otherwise I think they may come back to haunt you. I don't think you even have to download something to get this. It's as simple as visiting a site where someone has placed an ad with malicious code in it. Some people suck.
  9. I was hit with this on my work computer recently. Follow the directions at this link and you should be fine. Worked for me. Good luck!
  10. Those are really sharp. Very well done. What are they made of?
  11. I just received my belt that I ordered early last month from him. I think he'll come thru for you.
  12. The interwebs is a beautiful thing!
  13. Michaels, Home Depot, and some WalMarts have it too. I googled it and found some people found it at a place called Canadian Tire. You can always buy it online, of course. Good luck!
  14. Fourth. E6000, hands down the best way to go IMHO. It's amazing, it says so on the tube.
  15. I am cranially gifted at 7-3/8 and I can twist my ATA lid on with no problem. Avoid the FX helmet for many reasons.
  16. Merely a size joke WC. Nothing more.
  17. The new FX lid is coming along nicely. I KID, I KID! Woodchuck, your talents know no bounds! As a one-time woodworker I am in constant envy of your skills. Your shop must be amazing! It's a good thing you are just far enough away from me that I can't stop by, I may never leave!
  18. Thanks for the kind words. ATA kits do need to be painted btw. There are def. no shortcuts allowed with this kit if you want it right. :-) Progress has been slowish... I gotta get my butt in gear. Only 52 days until C5... that's not as long as it sounds!
  19. Wow, you are making it way too easy for the newbie-newbies. This newbie did a lot of digging and cloak & dagger research to learn all this.
  20. Can somebody confirm this? If so, I may have my biceps switched. No biggie, I know.
