  1. There is no way that they were shot, because Luke and Han then put on the armor they were wearing and there would be holes in the armor from where they shot them. And if not holes, there at least would have been some blood that got on the armor as they were dis-robing the troopers.
  2. Wow, I have never thought about those poor troopers, that's a really good question. If Han and Luke were bad guys, then we could assume they could have just killed them, but I doubt that. What do you do with two naked bad guys?
  3. I was about to send a private message to the seller through ebay and tell him how wrong he is to lie to people and rip him a new one, but then I realized that, that kind of action wouldn't be very constructive at all, so I refrained.
  4. This actually makes me mad that this guy is lying to everyone in order to make a profit. What is this crap he's talking about how the real eyes in the helmets in the movies had eyes with drilled out holes??? What an idiot. I hope he never sells this and continues to lose money by having to pay ebay auction listing fees each time.
  5. Congratulations, your armor looks great and fits great. Great job!
  6. Phil, Everything looks great, I'm going the same route as you with MRCE and FX armor. Can you tell me your height and weight? Just want to get an idea of how the set up would look in relation to my build.
  7. Thanks for the link to that thread, it does make it seem easier to do.
  8. Well, I do have a dremel, I would be curious to see your step by step method. If it looks easy enough, I might risk it.
  9. These bags are great to see, I'll be needing one soon. So they are just motorcycle helmet bags huh?
  10. Am I the only one who thinks putting in the thumb prints into your armor is taking the whole screen accurate thing a bit too far? Should we also be taping everything with white tape as well to keep it together?
  11. I saw an auction on ebay recently where someone was selling an assembled set of Rubies TK armor, they were hoping to get $350 for it. yikes!
  12. Thanks man! I am pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out myself. Not bad for my first attempt at a mod.
  13. Yeah, I definitely see the thickness in the ears, but it didn't bother me so much as to move me to modify it. I think the ears are a serious bit of work to do from what I've seen here on the boards, and I am such a noobie when it comes to using tools and modifying things that I know I'm just not up to the task. The brow and teeth bugged me the most, but now that they are fixed maybe the ears will irk me enough to move me to action. One thing's for sure, if I do end up trimming them, I'm not doing it alone. I'll grab someone in my garrison who is more skilled than I am!
  14. I eventually want to do a stealth/black trooper outfit and will need a pair of those black boots. Got to get my white tk done first of course!
  15. OK, so I successfully got my brow trim off in one piece (used a hair dryer to warm up the glue holding it on so it would come off easier), but when I was trimming the actual plastic with my dremel, I scratched the head above the eyes with the tip while I was working. Does anyone have a suggestion about how to cover up the scratches that doesn't involve sanding and repainting the entire bucket? I'm thinking perhaps a light coat of white caulking over the scratches would hide them?
  16. I"ll be borrowing another garrison members sand trooper armor, since I don't have my own yet and will be walking in a local fourth of July parade Saturday morning. My son will also be there dressed as a jawa. Later I'll see if I can get the rubber brow trim off my MRCE so that I can raise the brow. That evening, we'll do fireworks with the neighbors while eating fried ice cream for dessert!
  17. I am a size 9, but ordered a size 10 because someone told me that the boots run small. I got them today and tried them on and they are a little roomy, but I usually wear shoe inserts, so it should end up taking the rest of the room.
  18. I love it! I hope it's available in a couple of months when I'm ready to get my armor!
  19. Hey, I just got mine today and whew do they smell! I could smell something odd before I even opened the box that was taped shut! I don't know if I'll ever get used to that smell.
  20. Hey Jez, your site is awesome, but I never knew you had armor info on there until I dug around just now. It would be great if you could get that "armor" icon in your navigation on the left because you really do have a wealth of information!
  21. I totally agree with Vincent on this. I honestly feel the secrecy about getting info is ridiculous. We don't need to post prices online since they probably fluctuate, but Lucasfilm won't be jumping down anyone's neck if they find out they are selling this stuff on the side. If they wanted to find these people they could very easily with or without us publishing their info online. Why not put this info together? If it's easier to find, the sellers could make more money and that's only a good thing for them. I suggest that even if this board decides not to put this info here, someone should post it somewhere online. That way when us newbie's come we can at least reply with a "check out this link to learn everything you need to know".
  22. Maybe just keep a roll of bright orange tape with you to wrap the end of your gun in when you know your going to be in an event where security is a big issue.
  23. I refuse to repaint my helmet, so I am extra weary of mods that might require it.
  24. That looks really good. It's slightly higher so it's not resting on the eyes, but not too high to expose the dimple. Is that the original black brow trim that the helmet came with, or did you have to replace it?
