  1. i'll just open a TKC EIB thread when i start working on it , that way people wont get so confused about this whole thing
  2. well this sure looks like a heated discussion.. even if forlorn is right, i dont think he should be bashing on stickmonkey hes just defending his suit anyway, now i just got into the 501st with my tkc and i did a fair amount of research before painting it, i wish i could have read this thread earlier tho, i followed stickmonkeys pics as reference and some of the ingame ones, i think i understand stickmonkey's comment about the in-game stretching, even if the textures are painted on a flat surface, the model itself is not flat.. on a side note, i talked to daetrin and he said that i could get a EIB for my tkc if i made some changes on the belt and stuff like that, a diff helmet, and i have the same paint scheme that stickmonkey used, even if the EIB gets changed later, you can just repaint your suit, so its not that big a deal, i dont see why people are getting all worked up for this.. and yes i agree with stickmonkey.. personal attacks are a no no
  3. I think it is, i got into the 501st 4 days after i sent the application
  4. wow i didnt think i would get invited to try for the EIB, im really glad you guys are liking it, its still missing the weathering, and yeah i've been trying to get my hands on another helmet because this one is too big, but hey whatever works.. its taken us like 4 months to put together the suit without the painting since its all fiberglass, the painting took us roughly 4 or 5 hours, we're currently working on a voicechanger with some static burst, and well you're always tweaking things lol, thanks again daetrin and synaptyx, i'll be applying for the EIB soon
  5. hey hey hey fellow troopers. i recently got admited into the 501st this past 4th of july with a TK commander suit i made, i just wanted to say thanks a lot to sticky monkey and to my mexican garrison and childhood friend gucabe for the support and ideas for this project. before i forget,id like to thank sticky for the helmet pointers and well, i used ur pics as refence ;p here are some pics. we did a real light coathing since we were gonna do some weathering, its looks lighter than it should because of the lighting tho.. these were taken the day before we finished the suit, its still missing the belly buttons and the lines on the boots, and i think thats all i personally liked this pic, we did a detchable thermal detonator so we could throw it....lol we might go back to a clip on tho some night pics. and well some working pics. of course you cant work on your suit without the proper beverage.
  6. wow that looks great, im currently finishing my tk suit so i thougt if i could do this one from the start it would be great, but i didnt know if it was aproved, maybe you could give me some tips as to how to start painting my suit, how did you weathered yours down?
  7. ok so is this armor accepted by the 501st? i saw one of the action figures in a japanese toy page and i was so hyped since i own a "A New Hope" storm trooper armor and i thougt of turning into this, but if its a officially accepted by the 501st, any help?
