Here are some comparison pics: Darkside trooper boots (size 12) on the left, TKboots (12) middle, painted chelseas (12) (johnson and Murphy's) on the right. I wore them for several hours around work. They fit well to me. I wear a 12 or 12.5 in most shoes. The TKboot 12 fits well. I would say the width is normal, certainly not wide but NOT narrow. The Darkside are definitely wider.

I am wearing mine at work today - got a few funny looks. Mine were shipped by USPS priority mail Friday, arrived Monday. Derek

Paul, Is that one of the Cargo Strap belts? Armor looks NICE! Will the helmet also be made out of similarly thin material, or will it continue to be the same thickness?

I am going to say they run right on. I ordered a 12. I usually wear a 12 - occaisionally 12.5 in some shoes. they feel great on me. Being leather, I suspect there may be some stretching, if so, I can add an insole---- these are perfect for me!

The boots arrived this AM. I will take pictures when I get home tonight, and review after wearing them for a while. I am very pleased.

If I had not purchased twice from the same seller in the past, I would be skeptical too. I agree the site looks a little odd. I will post pictures, and review as soon as mine are in. ( I have no association with the seller, other than a repeat satisfied customer).

first difference is the material - AP is ABS. ATA (at least for now) is HIPS. HIPS must be painted, and is a little less durable. Details are felt to be sharper in HIPS. I have one of each. Like them both for different reasons.

How does this look?

anyone attach elastic to the shin pieces in a stirrup style band that would course under the foot to keep the shin piece down? Mine seem to rise up too much, I have attached velcro to the boot - it restricts the bending at the ankle too much.

I thought that the VT helmets are from 2 sources - his Hero from the AP, the stunt from the TE? Cant find the post. Please correct if I am wrong. to the OP - there were some threads that mentioned AP "seconds" a few months ago. Not sure how cheap they run. ------

does it come with velcro already attached? can you take pictures out of the package?

What is a fair price for a MG34 Hyperfirm? Assuming the A grade, in apparently new condition. (no DLT19 conversion yet) Is there any way to tell if one is a "B" grade (I read one thread where it was stamped somewhere on the gun - anyone know where?) I have not seen any recent for sale threads - older ones had fairly wide price ranges. This is not a want to buy thread... I already have one in mind, just wondering what is a reasonable price.
