  1. wearing mine at work today to break them in. VERY nice boots.
  2. looks alot like Caboots. If you cant get TKboots - consider painting your own chelseas.
  3. another pic here ------------ that angle almost reminds me of the Altman's TK http://www.starwarshelmets.com/Altmanns_Stormtrooper_helm.htm
  4. is the trooper a very thin guy? looks like the abdominal plate is overlapping the kidney?
  5. What do you think of this one --------------- with the code that shows at the top of the screen - you get $20 off and free shipping. makes the total $59.90 shipped to me in the US. Is the rounded toe acceptable for EIB? Centurion? it looks much more rounded toe than the Bass http://www.amazon.com/Bass-Mens-Amsterdam-Ankle-Boot/dp/B003TFEVN0
  6. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24456-fs-ne-armor-kits-ready-to-ship/
  7. I agree! I ordered my normal shoe size... it was WAY too big. I went down a 1/2 size = fit perfect
  8. Take some pics to show us? you might be able to cut them, then hide the repair with your coverstrip? (depends how bad the mess you are left with after cutting) also - LAST RESORT... assuming the pieces are going to be trash if it doesn't work or ruins your plastic - Try http://www.amazon.com/Satellite-City-US-1-Super-Solvent-Ounces/dp/B003L0XBCK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1380731174&sr=8-2&keywords=ca+glue+debonder or http://www.amazon.com/Un-cure-debonder-1oz-Smith-Ind/dp/B0000DD1QS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380731287&sr=8-1&keywords=ca+glue+debonder I tested the second one on some ABS - when left overnight it started to soften the ABS itself. Have never used the top one, but might try it.
  9. Would the trooperbay mic tips qualify for EIB? (they are all black, no nipple inside)
  10. Not sure which you refer on EBAY? I am wondering for instance on trooperbay - those don't have the little nipple on the inside and they are all black http://trooperbay.com/mike-tips/
  11. *** DO NOT USE THIS STUFF ON ABS. **** it worked well to take the CA glue off my counter... but it started to melt the test piece of ABS i tested it on.
  12. Is the "nipple" portion on the inside of the mic tip a requirement for EIB or Centurion? If so - are they required to be white? or is black acceptable?
  13. did you remove the return edge from the inner piece at the elbow? or did it come that way? Regarding the trimming the closure at the back - I am thinking that taking some off of each piece would look better than taking it all off the inner piece. I am interested to see what others think.
  14. this one? http://www.boltdepot.com/Product-Details.aspx?product=1112
  15. Maxsteele - I appreciate your attention to detail. I can't wait to see how you approach the NE helmet! take lots of pictures during your assembly and trimming.
  16. probably depends on what you order. If anything needed to be customized (like a belt?) - it could take longer.? Im just guessing I have bought a couple things from him over the last couple years... always received in a bout a week
  17. here is a pic that has eliminated the step off, I am just not sure how? maybe its just the brow trim covering it?
  18. the above picture shows an example where too much was trimmed - leaving a gap another example above of the step off / ridge
  19. here is the ledge or step off that I am talking about (not my helmet - I copied that pic from another build thread) Even with new longer ears, that will still won't be covered. Perhaps it will be covered with the brow trim, but I would like it to sit flush.
  20. even with the new ears - there will be a step off right where the back meets the face plate. to minimize this the faceplate is going to need to be trimmed - this trimming is what I am seeking some guidance on. Thanks
  21. I have paged through NE build threads, but have not found a good picture of how / where to trim the face plate so that it will not leave a large gap or step-off above there ear, where the back meets the face. Anyone have good pics of this?
