  1. I wonder if it was more of a "We don't have room for this thing and we will never use it again" than a "Thank you". How typical. Sorry for your loss man!
  2. Will it stick to galvanized metal? If so, I wish I heard about this stuff before I painted my car a few years ago...
  3. Got my T-track today, thanks Smitty!
  4. Smitty said he mailed out my T-tracks for my Hasbro mod last week, and I think I got another week or so wait on my oiftanker neck seal. Once I get both, I'm going to re-apply for EIB
  5. When I first got into "the business" the perfectionist in me thought the symmetrical MRCE was the cat's pajamas. I also completely redid mine inside and out. ---------- But now, after being on these forums for about half a year, and looking at all the wonderful screen accurate lids, I wish I went with a more movie accurate helmet.
  6. Aha, it all makes sense now! Thanks for that, I'll have to give that a try!
  7. And to think I almost bought one of these Its too bad the Fett one doesn't zip all the way up, that and the Maul ones are the only ones that look any good out of the bunch IMO. The rebel pilot one would be pretty slick if they didn't include the weird helmet/hood thing.
  8. Smitty, what business I have done with you in the past has always been top notch. Thank you for your services. I'm privileged and saddened to be one of your last costumers. I just recently lost my 17 year old cat, and my 12 year old dog. My condolences.
  9. If you are referring to the fact that your ab plate detail already has buttons molded into them, it will not affect the appearance of the VaderDave buttons. My suit is like this and my VaderDave's look fine. As far as the rivets go... no idea, sorry!
  10. How does having the shoulder straps attached together with one piece of elastic like that work? I have seen multiple people do it but it always baffles me.
  11. I'm still waiting on some t-tracks from Smitty and a neck seal. I am sure I will be in before the end of the year!
  12. Its actually been 10 days since I sent him the PP for my T-tracks, but my neck seal wont be ready for a while so there is no rush.
  13. If it were me I would touch up the ab buttons and hand plates. Other than that I would say leave it as is!
  14. This isn't the best picture, considering my right thigh was falling off a little bit, but this is the only picture I have right now that shows my shims I used a white trashcan for the material of my shims. The thigh shims are glued down on one side with E6000, and the other side is attached with velcro. I decided not to glue both sides since its easier for me to put them on this way. My calve shims are also made from trashcans, and are velcroed into place on both sides. Basically its the same exact set up as shown here: http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/shims.html Hope this helps!
  15. Right now I am monitoring at the art gallery I work at. Of course when I go to use the restroom, a piece falls off the wall! Just my luck. Tomorrow we're celebrating my girl friend and I's birthdays (her's was a few weeks ago, mine is a few weeks from now) at a generic "Chucky Cheese" kind of place with mini golf laser tag, and an arcade with some friends . Sunday I'm hoping to get to see Where the Wild Things Are, but we'll have to see how that pans out.
  16. The FX suit seems to fit you well! Besides what others have said I would also try padding your shoulders so they do not sit flush against your biceps. Other than that, great job!
  17. Fox, I just looked at your profile and wow! 14?! And I thought I was one of the younger ones here, haha. Good luck with your build.
  18. I got this about a week ago in my ThinkGeek newsletter, photos of the final product! Do want :!:
  19. I have RT-Mod and I recommended it! Granted I am only 5'8 so I had to do some trimming, but the quality of the armor is definitely worth it!
  20. Yesterday I spent the evening with my better half. We both got Chinese take out and watched reruns of the Osbourns. Today I moved back into college from my week long break and brought all my armor with me to make my debut on Halloween. Then for a few hours putting up a new show in the Art Gallery I work at. Nothing too eventful!
  21. Something tells me you wont have a hard time getting EIB status. Good luck!
