I knew I had seen them somewhere.
I will now go off to the barn and quietly shoot myself. ( being taken in by some poo AA has uttered! The shame, the shame!! ).
Coz thats what its all about!
Its got nothing to do with the fact you will have far more oppertunities to help those less priveleged than your self and be officially allowed to play in LFL's sandbox,it coz you can sometimes get expenses!!
As do I: http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s305/IOWSWCC/Ricks%20EIB/
Shame he registered only 3 days ago and already is having troubles logging in with the details he registered with.
Ah sod it, what the hell.
The armour was recast F/X and the lid was recast SDS. Looks like he is ripping off some else's work now.
The guy who make the kits used to run a well know costuming group in the uk ( NOT the UKG ).
I now await yet more threats of legal action for deformation of character and libel.
Just to go a little OT.
Whom pulled the ROTJ suits/lids?
And if the ANH molds had deteriorated so badly, how could it be remotely possible that AA could be using them 30+ years later for the lids he is producing?
You need to shake the can for 2 mins, then stir for 2 mins minimum, it usually dries after 6 - 10 hours then.
Other than their blacks which are crud and which depending on the tin will either dry in 2 hours or never.
Can't speak for the other bits but...if the lense that comes as standard is the same as it used to be then you will need to swap it out as its brown, rather than the green it should be.
The initial scenes with the fireship pilot were filmed in Oz and used a mate of mine called Ali Keshavji.
Unfortunatley during pic ups back in the UK it was decided it would be "fun" to stick John Knoll in the suit and re film the scenes.
As it was filmed in Oz intially my bet would be that they used a part from an aussie car.
I have a pic of Ali in the suit behind the scenes if its any use to you? ( got a load more somewhere but damned if i can find em. )
Mr No stripes was an unintentional mistake, the sandies were a design choice.
The changes made to the design after filming in Tunisia was to improve the look. If you go with the logic that because he has screen time his look should be "canon" then so should a Boba Fett with his knees on upside down.
QFT
The amount of "new" info on the ANH suit that has come to light in the last six months is testament to that. No matter how long we are involved with this hobby of ours we will always be in the position to learn something new and therefore be "newbies".
Honestly?
I would say another costume would suit her better.
It may not be the "politically corect" answer but what would you rather? The truth or a false platitude to make you both feel better?
At 5ft she will be inundate with the " aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper" comment where ever she troops. This could easily lead to disheartenment / annoyance on her part.
Better that she picks a costume better suited to her that she gets nothing other than compliments for than one that is going to be potentially knocked by those with no sense of respect.
Afterall, would she venture out in a dress size that was unflattering ?
Regardless of choice I wish her the very best in her costuming pusuits.
