  1. Idea is awesome, real shame that with all there resources they didnt do a good job in research, as that would have made them find us. over all it came out okay. http://www.carbonfibergear.com/star-wars-fans-carbon-fiber-enthusiasts-carbon-fiber-stormtroopers/#.TsNEHGDbXAE.facebook
  2. O.O whowwwww, i honestly thought that was a GG figure. Breathtaking..... does the DT CRL have Centurion?
  3. yes bigger pìcs would help for more accurate feed back. But i think that u might want to trim the butt plate rather then the thigh pieces, at least in the front pic they look correct but in the back pics they are over the butt plate. granted u could cut the thigh but that would be harder and less forgiveing. i strongly suggest to post individual bigger pics, or if u can make the current pic bigger iwth better resolucion that would help us help u better. dont cut or do anything yet.
  4. Novus is awesome but make sure u polish out side and with a mask, Novus is highly carcenogenic, and gives off micro particules. Only down side to it.
  5. All u have to do is move around. Even if u use the outfits that mountain climbers or researchers use in the Artic and the poles, and u dont move around u will freeze. the material is made to retain the warm from your body longer but it doesnt keep it perpetually. u need to move around.
  6. LOL maybe its a blu-ray mod, like the socket puppet they added Once again Gracias Jesse for up loading theses !!!!
  7. Just use the search engine and u will find many ( if not hundreds) threads that say Stay away from ebay. If i am nit mistaken there is a specific thread that covers the Stay away from E-bay subject. Use the search engine and read that " if yourr new read this first threads" they will save u money and frustration.
  8. O.O my heart skiped a beat when i saw u cut it, then again, theres no way for u to do the light saber if u dont cut it. Looks good
  9. I would talk to your gun friend, if any one hows the thing works its him.
  10. WOO HOOO I am in Denial and the anger part but really never see me going past that
  11. Great answer!!! i also like to build what ever i can!! And makes a good tutorial!!
  12. Hello Alex Welcome to the FISD. First thing i would do is go to the new members area and formally introduc your self. Second get in contact with your local 501st. talk meet and get to know them. Third and one of the most important things is keep on reading, after that read some more and once u think u have a basic idea READ some more The main reason to dwell on the reading is that the more u read is in direct corolation to less money spent and a better build!!!!! One page i luv that i send all new guys to is this one: ---------- once u read this, come back here and look for each different one with the search engine and learn all u can about each one There is a perfect armor for u but which one that up to u to make the final decition!!!!!! Take your time dont rush the research part, like they say " a fool and his money are soon departed" Stay away from Evil bay and similar places If u cant find a answer with the search engine ( doubtfull) dont be afraid to ask. After all this choose which TK u want to do. ANH,ESB.ROTJ, HWT, TK comander etc etc etc Hmmmmm i think thats it...... othere will chime in. dont forget to go to the new member area and introduce yurself!!! Once again Welcome!!!!
  13. O.O wow very cool. One question why not just trade your M38 for a M19?
  14. I have both ABS and HIPS suits and helmets. so far i really haven’t had a issue with structural integrity. i do admit that i am more cautious with the HIPS on account of the thickness and paint job. Really beat the tar out of the ABS. but so far no real issue. I prefer abs as it doesn’t need to be painted and I feel more comfortable working with it. But that’s my personal choice.
  15. i wouls suggest droplets of CA rather then a ring.
  16. I would worry more of getting to known what and who first. safer to get the lay of the land/forum first. no need to rush buy.
  17. Well this is what we were taught how to take care of industrially rubber gloves in lab. 1. ideally a smaller organic material glove should be used like cotton ot caught sweat and acts a protection to the rubber ( even if u don’t have a allergic reaction to the rubber the prolonged use will most likely produce a reaction varying from mild to sever over time.) multiply cotton gloves should be used if possible and changed every 4 hrs or so. 2. Immediately after rubber gloves are not needed they should be removed, cotton gloved taken out of rubber gloves. 3. Hands should be washed with plenty of water and a neutral soap. 4. Rubber gloves are to be turned in side out carefully ( I can turn mine inside out ) dried out with paper towel. 5. Mild soapy water or little dish detergent is to be applied to the glove, rinsed out thoroughly. 6. Dry gloves with paper towel and let air dry 7. Apply talum or baby powder to the clean dry gloves that are still inside out. 8. Remove excess talcum 9. Turn gloves in side in again Optional (over time rubber will start to break down and get sticky or juice, regardless of how well u take care of it. Applying talcum to the out side of the glove can give it some extra time) but in time the rubber will get brittle and crack and finally break
  18. Last time i check they were all gone, hotel is full for that week..... but given how hotel economics works they have to have a few rooms still reserved or not opened yet. but like Brain said the code is in the link provided. Best of luck!!!
  19. ya what Mason said!!!!! i use a wooden tooth pick and lightly scracth the dry paint that has been soften with rubbing alcohol, workd every time for me!!!!!! for the next time the helmet needs to be clean, dry and try to use gloves or avoid touching it while applying the blue tape, blue tape will peel of or lift if the helmet wasnt clean. that explains the run off. no sweat now u will never do it again
  20. I scream at it. "STAY STAY, good s-trim" ,so far its workd for me i guess i have been lucky never had a issue with it.
  21. Hmmm wasnt it determined that these were in fact leather soles??? i am pretty sure some were in here someone found or was able to certifiy that the boots for ROTJ were leather sole riding boots........ i look but didnt find anything will look some more.
  22. Hmmm i cant load the PDF page??? will try later and from my work computer tomorrow.
