I thought the cod piece and the ab plate made them match up But youve seen it in the flesh so I'm sure you're right I've often wondered what these guys making accurate bracketed armour are going to feel like in a year or two Doesnt look very strong to me

Super cool costume and with the added option of a hidden height boost Snowies wear Canadian military mukluks and therefore she can wear her own sneakers inside the mukluks and gain 3" from nowhere A complete snowy isn't much more than a $1000 I'm 5.7" and think I maybe a little shirt but its the fit not the height that can make TKs look odd I actually think I'm ok in my TK I just like my snowy better John

Great idea In the UKG we have an armourer team that does just this Although we don't have a set booklet we give them it's more of our own wisdom. Some of this is saved and copied/pasted in order to save time If you need any advice on pimping a lid, fans and helmet speakers and switches, let me know John

Oh yeah, they're all over the shop, and falling apart at times. We tend to look at the hero and promo shots to base our opinions on what they 'should' look like. What they actually 'are' like on set with loads of actors who don't care and wardrobe artists who also don't care and understand then become totally different. Snowies are the same. Very little is common and they were on screen for about 20 seconds tops I know what you mean Paul and I like the slopiness of it all. Do you agree on the handplates? I've asked Brian, see what he says EDIT: He's replied...... Hi John, I didn't do the handplates on the Stormtroopers. Have a look at lots of other scenes. Luke talking on the compad, Han chatting to the operator, realigning Chewies cuffs, sitting in the room with Chewie, in the trash compactor scene etc All look asymmetrical. So it can't be the fact they're holding a gun. Which is what I thought at first They may even have had several versions, of the same style lol I'll shut up now

Glad someone else sees it My point is most TKs have a straight right knuckle edge Left seems angular Yes they're meant to be mirrored but I don't think they are perfectly. Like bells and biceps and all sorts on the flipping things

I might be wrong but I think they were added after Tunisia? Plus are they really on stunt suits or just Han and Lukes?

Sorry, I also noticed that Han isn't the only one to have that bicep shoulder bell strap hook either Most TKs that get shot and throw their arms up have it Could have been a stunt thing?

Hi Paul Make a cup if tea and sit down for 5 and have a look at my collage above lol Make a note of left and right hands The difference is along the knuckles.... I 'think' that the right hand plate is a straight line I think the left hand plate isn't and it bends down toward the little finger Am I imagining it or can others see it too? I did check and re check before posting so as not to make a tit of myself lol But....I've never seen anyone mention that Han's plates change either, and they do. I think, lol

Yeah I know they're latex therefore flex, I wondered that too before posting, but it seems to be consistent on almost every TK I look at. They don't 'seem' to be the same on the knuckle edge.... As you say iut could be the way they hold the gun, but have a look for yourself and look for shots where they're not holding anything and the hand is more or less at 90 to the camera.

Well you can buy hengslter counters today. A big company that's still going strong. Modular 400 is the type and today they make something very similar in shape/size. http://www.hengstler.com/en/products/shop.php?catID=1075 type 464 - 468, type 478 etc Counters are just that, counters. They're usually used on factory lines to count objects made as they pass a switch etc. Very simple inside. However the one you're after had an eagle logo on it. Very similar to the nazi eagle so the company changed it. Either that or it was just cheaper to make them plain They do crop up on here from time to time. Ask Bilhag on these boards John
