  1. When cutting the sniper knee, make sure that when cutting the L shape, in the bend of the L - don't cut it straight edge to edge but rather more of a C shape, as you can see in the example sniper knee that Glen posted above! (hard edges can cause cracking) Regarding the right ab, are you planning on keeping material out to the blue line or do you plan on cutting it down to the red line? The red line alignment is good for the current Han snap alignment, but I think that you'd have to reposition it if the blue line is the intended line! Also make sure to not cut away the green marked "ledge", as that is where we put the screws. The only reason I'm ponting that out is because I see a dotted line where my bottom green line is, and want to make sure you don't cut that
  2. I think before I'd do anything is to align the tops of the plates on the same level one more time, and possibly re-measure the placements of the marks on the AB, since right now in the image (possibly with the angle) it looks like the top is aligned above the kidney, and still the marks end below the kidney marks! (and yes the measurements are 20, 52, 53 as Glen pointed out, but one millimeter isn't a big deal, however since you are in a state where you're still measuring, might as well do it? ) Keep it up, it looks really great! The helmet looks mint by the way!
  3. Congratulations EIB #1066! You look stunning! Proud to have you with us!
  4. Just quickly chiming in here, but I looove the rubber gloves + white cotton gloves combo! For accuracy and comfort, they bend more than the plastic hand plates and personally I think they look the part when holding an E11! I'd also recommend buying a balaclava! Really helps hiding your face behind the teeth and sucks up a little bit of sweat too! I heard from people that got the FO Anovos kit that their plastic was quite a good match for the white paint: RAL 9010 - so as a "plan C or D" maybe you could 3d-print something and paint it with that until you get the real stuff that you want!
  5. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks, trooper!
  6. Wow, looks great!
  7. Huge congrats Cormac! Welcome to the ranks, trooper!
  8. Welcome Tilheyra! Keep up the great work! Research is key!

  13. A how to thread would be awesome!
  14. Hey @GunnerD, I'm really sorry if you took offense to what I wrote - not my intention at all so please forgive me! Everyone reads text differently, plus the fact that we're setting our beloved kits up to be "judged" isn't exactly easy so I totally understand! I don't know if it helps, but I just want you to know my intentions are purely to help out Just wanted share with you the things I recently had to do on my Centurion journey, even though I got a new kit from RS (it was up to CRL standrads, but Centurion is a little different ofc)! As said before, the Deployment Officers tell you what you have to fix so you can take everything I said to the dumpster if you want , that is kind of what I want you to do in a way! The 3 things I mentioned since you asked if there was anything else you might have to do - was just to try and prepare you for what comments you might receive, not what you'd have to fix! (I just remember how helpful I found @gmrhodes13's comments on my pre-approval, he's not a D.O. but still made good points) Again, based off of my own journey so I'm just trying to be helpful!
  15. Three TKs with vader sounds amazing to have in a collection! It is super ambitious and I love it!!!
  16. Hello Tristan! When you order the armor, you will send in all the measurements, and as Mario said - just write to them about it before ordering, since their customer service is really great! I had 112cm around the belly when ordering from them and yes there is a little piece of ABS in the gap, but I made it to Centurion and also got to be the new model for the Hero - so it looks great when you wear it! You should have a smaller piece than me and mine is not so big!
  17. @equuspolo has uploaded a nice video on YouTube that might be helpful to you, other than the build thread posted by Q
  18. Hello Smitty! Do you have an update for us on your progress?
  19. When you say "adding to my TK collection" do you mean that you want to become a Stormtrooper or like, armor for display purposes?
  20. Oh and you maaaay also have to dab a little white paint around the rim of the Hovi-MIX tips! Correct Aerators/Hovi-MIX tips are present. Screens used shall be of a wide type mesh, with the rim of the mic and the inside white or painted white. Just also make sure that you have the correct S trim and not U trim around the neck rim Neck trim shall be of an s-type profile rather than a u-type profile.
  21. I'm curious about your helmet! These black lines around the helmet: Seems like the helmet came in 3 pieces? Top of the bucket, the back and then the front? Just praparing your for Centurion (remember I am no Deployment Officer) but for the helmet I assume that you could get some comments on the tube stripes position, and that the top of the tube stripes closest towards the frown should be a little more angled forwards, some grey on the teeth that could be removed since it cannot extend the teeth area, and maybe shortening the brow trim a little bit, either cutting it at an angle with the trap or just straight but further in Usually these lines are suggested in Centurion applications for the brow trim
  22. Looking awesome! You've replicated the helmet very well! When (hehe) you decide to get yourself the rest of the TK armor, we're here for you!
  23. And when you have your build thread you will get help from us the whole way through the build, as long as you post your questions Do you have an update on your BBB day?
  24. Cannot wait for the new CRLs to drop! What a great edition of the newsletter packed with tons of exciting news, and some very sad!
  25. Looking back on this now, things have moved quite fast! My 1 year Trooperversary is coming up in about 2 months!
