  1. Congratulations Tyler! Welcome to the higher ranks number 1063!!!
  2. Nice! Send me a PM with the image you want to use, what logos (Garrison, 501st, Squad, Fire team) if you have any certain background preferences, and what info you want - TKID, forum name and so on!
  3. Great job and congratulations EIB 1062!!!
  4. Congratulations Marcel and welcome to the ranks trooper!!! Your armor is looking stunning! Should be a breeze on the higher approvals!! Exciting!!
  5. Since velcro is used on the belt it could be considered a simple dressing issue! If you have a spotter whilst taking the images just make them aware of the position!
  6. Just throwing my thoughts in here, but the downward part on the posterior plate might actually follow the lines of the raised square bit above! It isn't much but the angles right now are more steep than in my reference image to the left, and following the lines of the box made the angle of the part look more similar! Thoughts?
  7. Welcome to the FISD Alex! A great tip whilst waiting for the BBB is to look at EIB and Centurion applications so that you can have this into consideration when building your armor! The high standards are so much easier to achieve when building with them in mind rather than having it as an afterthought! Regardless if you want EIB and Centurion or not, it will really help your armor look truly amazing! Looking forward to your build thread!
  8. @BAZINGA Good point Bart, I don't know where would start! Looks like someone has already eaten the tube stribes so I guess that's where I would start too
  9. Hello Marcel! How is everything going? Excited to see how it looks!
  10. Congratulations James! Well worth all the work, you look amazing!
  11. Congratulations Sherry!!! Welcome no. 1060
  12. For being approved in the 501st then I know from personal experience that the RS is almost guaranteed (I have to say almost because I don't want to lie and having it held against me, if they would have screwed something up) to get approved in the 501st! I did work to get to Centurion but it wasn't all that much!
  13. RS currently are pausing the new orders since they focus on a certain limited edition helmet right now, so if you are thinking about getting the RS armor then you'd have to wait a little bit and keep an eye on their website for when they accept new orders!
  14. Wow Bart, this story is amazing! Coming full circle in the end dispite the hardships and fighting mental health problems is incredible! Good job Bart, you look amazing! That last part really nails the feelings I too had in the beginning, feeling insecure like I wasn't "really" a Stormtrooper - but everyone else (including other Stormtroopers) sees a real Stormtrooper! All of a sudden we go from "Star Wars fan" to being a real Stormtrooper and from that moment on we are a part of George Lucas legacy and become "caretakers" of the mighty Stormtroopers that once made you smile and want to take a photo, now you do that to others. (Stormtroopers still makes me smile and want to take a photo of course ) Being a part of one of the organizations responsible for people's experiences of Star Wars in real life is the best feeling in the world to me. Really glad to have you with us Bart! And thank you for showing a great example on why troopers should be helping troopers!
  15. Congratulations William!! Amazing news, welcome to the ranks trooper! Can't wait to see what our new member looks like suited up!
  16. One thing that I found was very nice was to go over what all the different roles are in the detachment and what purpose they serve! By going over the "Common FISD Acronyms and TK Glossary". I personally also read all the links that the GML sent me to get some grip of the whole organization (501st Legion) and what it means to be a part of it!
  17. Hello and welcome! When you get approved by your Garrison GML you will get one of the ID's that you chose from the list of available ID's. Then when you get your ID and approved in the legion then you can request access here by posting the link to your 501st record. If you're unsure about how to find this 501st record, use this link below, replace 12345 with your ID: https://www.501st.com/members/searchresults.php?searchfield=12345&criteria=tkid When you have done this you will get promoted to 501st Stormtrooper on the forums and can now enjoy the benefits that this gives you, like being eligible to enter merch runs, FISD competitions and so on. Next up I'd say would be - TROOPING! Get on your Garrison forum and look up the events page to see which events are in your area (or find the correct Facebook group/chat) and sign up and meet other troopers, and just enjoy being a Stormtrooper that puts smiles on peoples faces! Your GML that approves you can guide you to the right place look for events if you are uncertain, and also invite to any potential Garrison chat! You could take your forum-game one step further and scour build threads, and help future troopers by sharing your experiences from your own build, or study the intimate details of the armor and maybe one day become a Deployment Officer? If you find that you love helping out on here, you could potentially become an Imperial Attaché and help people take on the same journey as we all have done by bringing new future troopers to our forum! If you have any ideas on anything we are all ears! If you want you can also take your build one step further and apply for our Expert Infantry program and come one step closer to screen accurate, and join 1060+ others in the march to 1500 approved as Expert Infantry! I've done this myself and for me it was one of the most exciting things I have done in this whole Stormtrooper journey! Let us know if you have any further questions!
  18. Makes me incredibly saddened to hear this. He was someone I looked up to before joining the 501st legion and watched his YouTube videos a few years before I got my armor. I have a troop tomorrow, but in my mind it's now to honor Dan and all he did for our community! Sadly I never got to meet him, would have loved to, but I've heard about what a great guy he was and I send all possible condolences to his family and his friends! Remember to hug your loved ones <3 Buckets off
  19. Welcome to the FISD! How far along are you in your build?
