  1. Its a turned piece with a covertech clip and other screws and parts added on afterwards including rubber o rings and the grip amterial. All the coloured parts are painted. Its a really nice prop and doesnt look out of place with my other sabers.
  2. Mines a solid 1 piece machined saber afaik..
  3. I have one of the tk sabers and it is a great looking prop But when i posted progress pics along time ago most replies were to ditch the lightsaber But i like it none the less...
  4. Thanks Jez for posting pictures. The only way to back up information is by using pictures, anything else is merely hearsay
  5. I think that it the chrinicles version and is not movie accurate, but maybe a nice project for someone, no?
  6. Nice work on the hand painted details, look great
  7. Good effort on the hand detailing
  8. Yeah most people (me included) follow the trim lines on the ears on the first helmet build... But dont worry i will still be an awesome lid Looking forwad to seeing the final pics...
  9. Did you follow the trim lines for the left ear? It looks that way and if you did there will be a bigger gap... But it looks fine, most helmets have a small gap and remember thats movie accurate
  10. I think i used sissors to trim the back cap wavey part on my AP, was easy enough to cut Looking forward to seeing more progress pics everyone
  11. I think the movie stuff used was grey waist pipe but if you need to paint yours i would use anything thats close to humbrol #5
  12. Do you mean that your mother was a teacher from England? Or that she tought English as a subject?
  13. Now this was excellent work everbody envolved go and give yourself a pat on the back and have a drink, cheers That helmet rocks Kent now it just needs to be locked in a glass display case!
  14. When replicating the move along helmet i painted my hovi' mesh black, thats how it seems to me in all the photo's available of this particular helmet.
  15. You could always leave the shins as they are now, that would be movie accurate ala tantive IV
  16. My shoulder bellt are tight up against my shoulder bridges but as they are attatched to elastic there is some give when raising my arms. Most movie suits seems to have fairly high shoulder bells and i think that replica suits look better that way, imho when the bells are low over the arm it look off to me. https://i.imgur.com/qTMsEVt.jpg
  17. Best wishes to you and your family Scott, lets all hope Melissa has a speedy recovery.
  18. Well done mate, i mean TK 5155
  19. Your armour looks amazing Mike, very nice indeed The only thing i noticed along with David is the blaster, which i think will need converting..
  20. Yep great job on the armour, and Tony i think that must be velcro for the speaker on the belt?
  21. I think the #14 looks the best / most like the originals going by your pics. I really should have a go at this myself some day....
  22. A suit that spends a lot of time on the motorway and racks up plenty of miles
  23. This was the first time that i had seen the MR LE in person and what i had seen in pics i didnt like at all. I must say it looks much better in the flesh but still there is something i dont like about it like i do about un-sanitised fan made helmets.. Mainly the ears are very thin, the eyes quite big and the frown just looks odd but this is what you get from mirroring one side i guess... But i didnt match them up closely for comparison so some pictures the helmets are not equal in height or length from the camera so you loose some perpective here. But still its nice to see them together.
