  1. Good plan, lets see how it pans out
  2. Hi this problem only effects fx users as the standard buttons supplied are too big. They are 15mm snaps and most mods bring them down to 10-11mm or there abouts. Anything can be used, drawing pins, smaller snaps etc..
  3. Im hoping to get stuck in and get my TE2 armour built over the holiday period and will be applying for ANH elite next
  4. The only thing i wil say Mark is do your own research and come to your own conclusions, like the rest of us Liz Moore sculpted the helmet and Brian Muir sculpted from the neck down. AA did little more than actually vac form the suits and painted the lids.
  5. Personally i think you can take anything AA said with a city care road gritter full of salt and i dont think he will really be the guy to ask about the helmet mold as he didnt design them...
  6. Nice pics Billy And Lan, its all to do with how tall you are.. if you are a taller trooper you can have the thigh pack lower as seen on the the screen used but if your a shorter trooper you will need it higher so it doesnt get in the way of your shins.. Apart from looking good you have to be able to move in this stuff, remember that.
  7. Yep i was on about the leather, ive seen the archive pics for the canvas
  8. Nice work, its nice to see more ESB troopers out there
  9. Thanks paul was there ever any evidence do you remember or was it mainly guess work.
  10. I dont really know whay the old boys have the idea that the belts on the stormtroopers were made from leather. I have never seen any evidence to show thats what was used, however there is evidence that the belts were in actual fact made from canvas.
  11. I just have the star shapped foam inside my lid and that does me. It can get warm inside there during thesummer but there is a lot of room for the air to circulate inside. Just use anti fog spray on the inside of the visor and you should be fine. You can get balaclava' from motorbike shops to keep cool and warm if you wish but i only use that during the winter at outdoor events to keep toasty.
  12. If you give me the shops name and or address im going to Cambridge next week...
  13. Im waiting for an engraved invitation
  14. You old git! Pipe and slippers for Mr Hoeffer please
  15. I always wear rubber gloves and dont have any probs with sweating, its a fairly hot costume at the best of times anyways, so rubber gloves are not really an issue..
  16. I watched this for the first time yersterday and fell asleep after about an hour. I aggree it was ok for kids but pretty awful even for that. Sky-Guy, Stinky and that small space slug, what was it all about??? If this is the way the new series is going im glad im not watching them. A big thumbs down from me
  17. Lovely looking armour Jay, nicely done
  18. The latex hand plates for anh were glued on, like these and the esb plastic hand plates for empire were the ones sewed onto the gloves.. you woulnd need to or want to sew these ones on.
  19. Wow im suprised you added the poppers like that to the outside of the armour like that, i would have put them on the inside so you cant see them.. but hey you cant see them when your fully armoured up.
  20. Looking good there Marcel. Did the sds armour come strapped like this?
  21. Some sort of TE recast i believe...
  22. I get a lot of funny looks when im in the material store, or model shop buying paint and stuff. Model shop assistant; 'What do you need this paint for?' Me; 'Im building a Darth Vader chestbox.' Model shop assistant; Blank look...
  23. The quick answer is no, the screen used lids did not have any mesh in them; and neither do my helmets.
