  1. Hi Alan. Welcome. Looking forward to your build.
  2. Congratulations. Welcome to centurion (I think you may have actually got there before me).
  3. Looking awesome.
  4. Looking good. Having a blaster makes it all so worthwhile.
  5. Requesting my centurion certificate. Gerald Gyorffy TK 96004 Centurion Letter TKSpartan Thanks My pleasure, brother! https://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/96004-centurion.png
  6. Thank you for the help and encouragement over the past year. I could not have done this without the FISD. I look forward to pay it forward and help up and coming builds. Now I need to find something to do with my time.
  7. Glad you finally got your kit. Looking forward to following your build Most are using imgur for posting pictures.
  8. It is easier to leave a bit if you are unsure. As you can always trim a bit later, even after the piece is built.
  9. Thanks Jonatan. I didn’t think we needed an action photo for centurion. the EI link is at the top under the wording.

  11. Here is a step by step of the ABS paste sanding and buffing. Starting point with paste fully hardened Used the Dremel tool with a sanding attachment to remove the bulk of the material. This could also be done with 120 grit sandpaper. Next, I brought it right down with the 220 grit sandpaper to get all the extra ABS paste off and flatten everything out. Some air bubbles appeared at this point, so I reapplied a bit of ABS paste and worked it into the repair. Back to the 220 grit sandpaper with no air bubbles this time. Next was the scratch removal and polishing. Using 1000 and 2000 grit wet sanding blocks, followed by the Novus fine scratch remover and finally the Meguire’s Plastix. As much as I tried, up close, there is still a slight mark. I was not happy with this. I think the original hole had some marks from the post that were showing up. I dremelled down the repair slightly and made the area slightly larger, then repeated all of the above steps. Slightly better result but not perfect. New hole drilled above and new snap in place. From a few feet away, it is not really noticeable.
  12. Looking awesome as usual. Good luck with approval
  13. Thanks Glen. I looked all over for that info. I need to brush up on my browsing skills. LOL.
  14. Hey everyone. Now that my ANH build is almost complete, I have been peeking down that rabbit hole and am considering a First Order The Force Awakens costume. I have looked at Denton Novo and have emailed Jimiroquai to check on availability. Are there other vendors beyond these 2? Also. Denouncing Novo’s site seems to indicate that the armour fits mid sized body types best. As I am a bit bigger in the thighs forearms and belly area (38 inch waist). Would this armour have enough material when trimming to fit, or would I need to be shimming everything? Thanks
  15. Yes but the next part is the hard one to make it pretty and smooth again. LOL
  16. I started working on the suggestions from my EI approval to get ready for centurion approval. items to correct: 1. Droopy left eye on helmet 2. Trim back return edges on top surface of kidney and ab plates. 3. Move Han snap closer to the corner of the ab plate. 4. Straighten drop box. For the Droopy eye, I removed about 3 mm of material with the Dremel tool. Return edge on the upper ab and Kidney plate trimmed and sanded. The Han snap was a bit tricky due to the closure supports on the inside of the armour. First removed the snap by drilling out the post. I needed to remove some of the closure support material but I used CA glue to attach it. Once again, Dremel time. Next came the ABS paste. Still good in the tightly sealed jar from a couple of months ago. Sanding and polishing will come later once it is set.

  18. Thank you for the approval and for the suggested fixes.
  19. Awesome news. Congrats on getting approved.
  20. I retook the full body back photo and posted the new one after I noticed the tight shoulder bridge was lifted. I heated and adjusted the right shoulder bridge to get it to sit flat on the back. Boiling pot of water for the win. Before After
  21. @TKSpartan I have added the requested photo of the left side detail as requested.
  22. Congratulations again. Awesome work.
