  1. When you use the online form for your submission, you'll definitely get an answer from our GMOs. It's truly just the public forum that is inactive, behind the scenes everyone is way more available. If you don't get an answer within four weeks, you should definitely reach out, but as-is the German Garrison GMOs should answer you. Online Form
  2. Chestplate strapping is the one true factor. If your chestplate can touch your ABS belt, you're good to go, as Adam said. I personally haven't even needed mobility cuts so far -- even a little bit of space can go a long way. If you can bend your knees and hip joints by 80° as well you've got all the necessary mobility for running, kneeling, sitting or even laying down. Tbh, I've got a row of cracks in my codpiece and a few in my buttplate -- from my Codsnap getting stuck and me pulling too hard. If you're careful when initially sitting down you probably won't have any problems. The Buttplate is bendy and the codpiece gets little to no pressure thanks to the flexible chest strapping, which allows for the abplate to simply be pushed up.
  3. (you won't, probably) Thanks for sharing your pre-approval pictures! Your armor looks great, so you shouldn't have too many problems. Now, there's a few things that the German GMO's love to point out during a TK Approval, all of which are an easy fix on your part,: - make sure to tuck your undersuit fabric underneath the shoulderbell. Right now it's bunched up in front of it and obscuring the shape of the armor - lower your right forearm a bit. The position of the forearms should be symmetrical and to get through the Basic Approval easily it helps to have a lesser gap between the forearm and the handguards than between the bicep and the forearm - your thighs should be the same height. The GMO's mainly look for the inner upper return edge for this one, so make sure you have one to tug those into position - and lastly you should keep an eye on your drop boxes. One of them got twisted up on one of the photos. Each of these points can probably be adressed simply by having a friend or family member tug everything into the right position -- or a quick adjustment to the strapping. Now, all of these infos are based on actual feedback by our GMO's, so I'm pretty sure they would point at least one of those out. Otherwise I'd say you're good to go! Good luck with your approval!

These are all from one of my group chats and were shared yesterday evening. Therefore, credit goes not only to me, but also to several of my friends (tagging @CommanderWoufWouf for some of these) ... I still don't know if this is about me sharing memes or about me convincing everyone to build a TK And because we're mostly a group of university students: Oh, and one for @revlimiter and @MaskedVengeance:

Or as @justjoseph63 pointed out: E-6000 is easier and more satisfying to remove. In a welcome break from the ongoing winter break, I actually got troops coming up! Can I get a "hooray!"? And to close off today's section of what's been going on lately, congrats to our newest Centurion @MaskedVengeance

At what point does it classify as an addiction? ... asking for a friend or two And our daily To-Do List: On the other side it says "read every single post on the FISD" and "troop!!!"
  8. True enough. I've personally never had much trouble removing superglue, so it wasn't a problem for me. Still, E6000 is definitely a better solution and wayyyy more satisfying to remove
  9. Haven't had any troubles since. A drop or two of glue and you'll never again have a problem with them

  13. Mine is what you get when you look up "Morgi" on a phone's number pad: 66744 Since Morgi is my nickname on all 501st sites and a nickname from the time I discovered the 501st it seemed more than fitting. Shout-out to @T-Jay who convinced me to go with that instead of my birthday
  14. We know you're gonna make us proud -- spread some chaos for us, will you? Oh, and @revlimiter? If Caleb hasn't learned how to sit down in armor until then, do me a favor and show him how

This is pure Gold, Caleb Your own ear collection is just as impressive! I'm a bit scared of Adam's snaps though... How long does it take to put the armor together?

When I help troopers assemble their armors, I ask for their second pair of ears, usually. Don't ask me why, I don't know either, but I got a nice bag of ears by now. If anyone has theirs and no use for them, feel free to let me know Look, the R1TKs, FOTKs, and Blasters are all super fascinating, but I honestly got no clue what you're talking about. I'll keep on reading and learning

In other news, I attended an armor party recently and... Appreciation Because without the DO's, Attachés and other active members it would be way more difficult to build high quality armor.
