  1. The orginal hand guards were far from perfect. We know that by now. The hand guards available to the community, even if they are made of the same materials, are still somehow "idealized". I wouldn't dare selling one single pair that looked like "straight from the set"! The ones I make a perfectly trimmed, glued, clean, etc. Now, there are ways to weather latex plates (naturally by wearing or by hand [LINK to tutorial). but IMO, that doesnt have to right "feel". So I'm making a small run, which I call "Authentic Line" A few highlights: + no pair will look the same + latex "flash" around the edges This gives a deeper look, like a retrun edge, seen here +small surface defects a plaster molds get worn after a few pulls. So there NEED to be some blemishes ----------- + ..and more! The guards (and gloves!) can either be weathered naturally or by hand. Thanks for looking!

  9. Gee, so much praise for a simple D-ring.... Thanks! A quick fix for the D-ring: find a piece of plastic tube. Bend the ring slightly and insert into the tube. Now you can glue in the tube on the back and the sliding stops... I hope you get what a mean Nevertheless, you're taking the Doopy kit build to another level!

  14. Han wears one hero and one stunt hand guards. Several stunt troopers wore hero guards aswell I think it's about time to stop calling them hero hand guards.

  20. Hi there, I need some ideas on how to - rather quick and cheap- sculpt a turtle shell. I'd just need the general shape. I should be around 27 cm (10-11") Thanks!
  21. This only concerns troppers who ordered hand guards with gloves size 9 (only) around Christmas Because of the holidays, I was waiting a little longer for a lot of size 9 gloves. Unfortunately, when I got them yesterday, most of them were badly corroded I'm trying to get my best to get them replaced ASAP, but there will be a small delay with your delivery. I am truly sorry. I'll keep you updated. I hope you understand. regards, Karin PS: If anyone wants to back out, please contact me
