  2. Wow, I was away for some time and the discussion is still going. Some things never change here on FISD
  7. Just a quick FYI: Because of the holidays in my part of the world (we had the last one yesterday), it seems that most orders placed before the holiday season are heavily delayed. So, if you have not received your order yet, please be patient. If you have questions, please contact me via PM of facebook Thank you!
  8. This helped me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZuRUcJhpaw
  9. I once used drill bits for wood, but I'm no expert. A small pilot hole helps with chipping.
  10. 1) finish the second half: cut some keys, apply plenty of vaseline, pour resin 2) use the now finshed mold to make a back-up (the oringal sculpt is proably being destroyed while removing it from the silicone) 3) using the mold, a plasticine sculpt is made. 4) Pour some plaster over the plasticine sculpt. Let dry. Remove plasticine.
  11. Got home earlier, so I removed the clay Ready for the second half -tomorrow! Next steps (for those who are interested in that stuff) 1) finish the second half: cut some keys, apply plenty of vaseline, pour resin 2) use the now finshed mold to make a back-up (the oringal sculpt is proably being destroyed while removing it from the silicone) 3) using the mold, a plasticine sculpt is made. 4) Pour some plaster over the plasticine sculpt. Let dry. Remove plasticine. 5) Pour some latex in the plaster negative mold 6) HAPPY TROOPERS! 7) Once mold is worn out, repeat 3-5 8) MORE HAPPY TROOPERS!
  12. Finally! A big "thank you" to everyone involved!
  13. Actually, a "clean" sandtrooper does look pretty AWESOME! Are you sure you HAVE to make it dirty as hell?
  14. Here's the LAST ONE on amazon.de (Germany) http://www.amazon.de/METAMORPH-GMBH-MASKE-Admiral-Ackbar/dp/B00001U00F
  15. There's a famous costume shop in Vienna, I might find it there. They always have a big stock. Just LMK!
  16. LOL guys I found one at a german shop. €49 (70USD) http://www.maskworld.com/german/products/masken/latexmasken--110/film-fantasy-filmmasken--1103/star-wars-admiral-ackbar-maske--R918 It's cheap, and it's Halloween typ-ish Edit: oops. It's temporarily out of order. I'm sure there are others.
  17. Stay as far away as you can! there are several threads about this kind of armor here. Take a minute and look them up
