Each one has a different body. Find your comfort ...As you say, the vast majority of the undershirt will be covered by the armor , but the best way to see it would be to do a test with some parts of the armor on...

If something makes you nervous, rest for a while and you will come back to it when you are more relaxed. Looking at the photos of the helmet, I see a break that worries me ...Maybe you can stick a little abs on the inside, to stop the progress of that break. Maybe a piece of cloth soaked in cyanoacrylate or something similar can help too...
