  3. We are very welcoming and helpful crew. We want anyone and everyone that wants to be a Stormtrooper to be able to build one and wear it with pride! As pointed out, we have lots of female trooper, I troop with 3 of them regularly. We all put our armor on one thigh piece at a time. Jump in and join the fun and be sure to ask questions, there are so many member here that are ready to help!
  4. Congrats on BBB Day! I can't wait to see your build thread! Best of luck to you and be sure to ask questions. No matter how silly you may think they are. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here ready to help.
  5. Welcome to FISD!
  6. So next up. The Helmet. As I said, my ATA helmet is great, but it seems a bit small compared to others. I have not been able to install the fans and the battery pack in it without feeling like I couldn't get the helmet on or off. So Let's get this going. Starting out like I did with my son's taking the Dremel and sanding out the teeth. And then I'll use the X-acto knife to clean them up.
  7. Well other than painting the screw heads black, I'm calling the TD done. Roughly - 20 mm edge caps 13mm between the edges 121mm control/button board 184mm in total length Next up I think will be the Bucket. I'm read to replace my ATA helmet. The interior is to small to install fans and the last two troops I really could have used them.
  8. So after a super busy year, and my old ATA kit holding up (with a few part swaps), I'm back on the build. Next up, the TD. Something simple that I can do while watch playoff football. Plus Dave basically builds them for you. Some slight trimming, some light sanding, and a bit of gluing. Since I was in a rush to get my first one built and I didn't know about EI or Centurion, This time I'm going to try for Centurion, but at a minimum EI. So at @MaskedVengeance suggestion, I'm following @DTKC and @A.J. Hamler build guides. So one with the pictures.... Need to let it cure and then adding the ends and clips.

It was meant as sarcasm... thus all the boxes and envelopes in the background. LOL Sent from my SM-N981U1 using Tapatalk
  10. Welcome to FISD Ted! I'm in Chesterfield, VA (just south of Richmond), so we aren't too far apart. 20. First off, Welcome to FISD Jason. You've come to the right place to get answers to your questions. I will echo what everyone above has said. As someone that made mistakes when he started in 2019 because he didn't know where to look and bought armor that really wasn't best for him, do ask lots of questions! I'm a bigger dude (6'2" 275lbs) and most of the armor isn't make for me. The original actors averaged about 5' 10" and 170lbs (or so I'm told). So the original armor and what most makers imitate (we strive for screen accuracy) is for a person of that size. So if you are bigger or smaller, you need to look at who may make a bigger/small set, or what you may need to do to size the armor to fit you best. As Glen said, you get what you pay for. Do the research, ask the questions, check with members in your local area to see their armor (and maybe try some of it on), to get as much info as you can. And please remember to ask questions here, the forum is very active and you will get lots (sometime more than you'd like) feedback. Best luck on your journey to join us!
  21. Hey Joseph, There are several of us in Garrison Tyranus that are working on Vader Costumes (Myself included). As Glen pointed out, please come join us on the Sith Lord Detachment forum, or post on the Garrison Tyranus Forum.
  22. Are these the cgtrader files everyone is talking about? https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/art/other/star-wars-rogue-one-tk-first-imperial-stormtrooper-armor?fbclid=IwAR3pGrNu87G1MozVgYZFuSlRbi_UdeBy4a0A3tOjcTrAACQJCQkPUaizpSI Sent from my SM-N981U1 using Tapatalk
  23. Yes, there are some things you can't get access to with being an approved Stormtrooper.
  24. Congrats! Great work! Now can we get Cardinal done!
  25. So I'm going to try my hand a building a R1TK. I'm starting with Nico's helmet and we'll see where we go from there. I'm hoping that @BigJasoni might be willing to give me some pointers as his thread is what his me hope, and the fact he is in my Garrison. LOL. I've started printing some parts from Nico, and OxProps. Would love to see if @TKModder421 is offering any of his files as I really liked some of the mods he made. Anyway, here are some random pics of my helmet so far. Sent from my SM-N981U1 using Tapatalk
