1. Thank you to everyone for you help. We have now met our goal.
2. Little more paint, and started work on the backplate. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
3. Thanks Glen, I'll have to see if I can find someplace to hang a line. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
4. Little sanding, little taping off, little painting. Progress is Progress. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
5. Received the correct helmet from a great trooper across the pond. So now I have the TFA helmet to go with the TLJ/TRoS one. I've already started to break it down so I can get is painted Cardinal Red. Just trying to be very careful not to break any of the connection points. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
6. There is a for sale forum here, as well as one the Legion forum. If you are a facebook user, you can find a few groups like Star Wars Kit finders and a few others.
7. I'll be honest and I don't know anything about Propmaster armor. My biggest suggestion would be to talk with the troopers in your Garrison/Outpost/Squad and see if you can look at their armor, and we what types of armor they use. I think I saw you were in Australia, if so, you might talk to @ChrisThePropGuy , he is down under, and he pulls TK armor as well. He might be able to fit you, but I don't know for sure. 8. Shins are done, I'll setup the closures after they are painted. Shoulder bells are done, I'll setup the strapping after they are painted. I have three thighs, so I have to figure that out. I think two look like they match, and as I have short upper legs, that might work out. Biceps are taped together for now, I've got to trim some extra plastic and glue them together. I followed the photos from Zerop1ng and Swiftcloud as they seem to have the same version of the 850 Armor Works kit I have. And I put the back and Yoke together. I think it looks good, but the space for the neck is way to small, so I'll have to do some trimming there. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to add some shims to get the front and back to close, as I have to do that for my abs and kidney for my OTTK, so no surprise there. I'm going to mix up some ABS slurry tomorrow and see about filling the gaps and smoothing that transition out. I need to check the CRL, as I'm not sure if the biceps have to be seamless or not. I don't think the shins or thighs needed to, so I'm not sure.
9. I'm 6'2" 275lbs with a 42" waist and a 52" chest. I made my ATA armor work, but it didn't look the best. I have since boughten an AM kit from Dave's Darkside Deopt. AM kits are made for bigger troopers. Dave put a 6'7" 300lbs trooper in one of his kits and I believe it was approved as Centurion (level 3). I highly suggest the AM kits.
10. Thank you for the picture album. I was trying to figure out what the heck I was missing for the back piece. It was too darn short and couldn't for the life of me figure that issue out. Then I saw your pictures and figured that the parts I thought were the ankle wraps were the rest of the "ram horns"/Yoke.
11. And now I'm even more confused because I went through the box and found a 3rd set of thigh front and backs. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
12. Most of what I see, I agree with this. That leads me to believe this is a bad pull. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
13. just as a reminder, several folks have reported sending a donation but we haven't received it. make sure you are sending it to the correct email address. tk-12953 @ outlook . com there is a dash between tk and 12953 (tk-12953), if you send it to tk12953 @ outlook . com, I will not receive it.
14. can't wait for the molds to get done!
15. Calves seem to go together alright, but I'm trying to figure out if this was a bad pull or if the member who I bought this from cut it before they gave it to me. I may have to pull the thighs out of the kit I got from @shashachu and compare them before I go any further with the thighs. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
16. And now the armor build begins... Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
17. With many Thanks to the recent donations, several of which requested to remain anonymous, we are now only about $100 ($107) away from our Goal. Thank you to everyone that has donated thus far.
18. Thank you for your Contribution. We are still about $250 ($246.36) short of our goal.
19. Keep trooping has added an under suit that look pretty good, and Endor Finders is no longer selling RO Gloves, so we may want to update this list as well. Also we may want to reconsider list Sheev's Emporium as a trusted vendor. The complaint of his taking orders (money) and not fulling them have been multiplying.
20. So I think we need to update this list. Keep Trooping only has the solid black gloves, so you'd have to paint the leather parts white, which will be an issue with the "black tread" Endor Finder isn't selling them any longer Trooperbay gloves aren't quite right, they have an extra layer of white leather on the 2nd knuckle. Has anyone found a a set of gloves recently that are correct? I saw these on Etsy, but not sure about the vendor. https://www.etsy.com/listing/4489842800/first-order-stormtrooper-gloves
21. With huge thanks to @gmrhodes13 I started making my belt pouches. They aren't perfect, but it is a step in the right direction. Cardboard templates. Then pinning to make sure things line up. Then sown together. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
22. Does anyone have a pattern for making these? I wanted to give it a try as I've been trying to do more DIY parts of my costumes. I don't think it would be super hard to make them, but I wanted to see if anyone had already done the layout so I wasn't reinventing the wheel so to speak. picture from Jim's FS post for attention. TIA
23. We are up to 51 members that have donated, Thank you to everyone that is pitching in! We still need to raise about $340 to meet our goal. Thank you again!
24. RS Props Dave's Darkside Deopt (AM) AP I think the first page a pretty extensive list.
25. We are up to 45 members that have donated. We still need roughly $392 to meet our goal.
