  1. Best of luck to you! I started down this road, and stopped after Nico/Greg's helmet. I actual ended up taking @TheRascalKing's advise and having the helmet resin printed. I also bought a set of (yet to have been seen) R1TK armor from WTF, which I still have high hopes for, but going on 3 years of watching slow design, question my purchase. Sadly there are not many makers of new era TK vac formed armor due to the same issues you are running into printing. And each one that does exist hasn't isn't own issues. @BigJasoni is a huge help, and I'm lucky to have him as a garrison mate, so while it will be a long and difficult process, I'm sure he, and others will be happy to answer as many questions as you have. I look forward to seeing how your journey goes, as I may have to go this route myself if Walt doesn't get his armor done soon. As for MRSB, I'm fairly certain that his ab section is what several folks have used. My understanding (and Jason, Glen or others can correct me if I'm wrong) is that tube ab section is used for a lot of the Disney era "trooper" Shoretrooper, Stormtrooper, and maybe a few others. Can't wait to see how this goes!
  2. As someone that is currently looking for a TFA kit, I can tell you that the suppliers are few and far between. 850 Armorworks doesn't even list their armor any longer. I the Walt's Trooper Factory may still sell them, but haven't inquired recently as I'm still waiting for him to fill my R1TK order. I think @jimmiroquai is still doing them, but I believe his is flexible fiberglass, so not the same ABS you are looking for. KB Props is who I'm after, as I was told it was a good fit for bigger troopers, but they haven't made kits in a while, so it is trying to find one that folks haven't used yet. I don't think that Anovos which was replaced by Denuo Novo sells just parts, but you might check with them. I personally think your best bet would be to check with Kevin at Imperial Surplus. https://imperialsurplus.com/product/first-order-stormtrooper/ I have ordered just parts from him before for other kits, so he might be the best option.
  3. This is great! Thanks to all involved! Now to just find a Non-Saga TK armor vendor.....
  4. Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your build. I'm not sure that I can help, but you might want to post this in the First Order Battle Group section of the forum You posted this under the OT TK "A New Hope" thread. you might want to move it, or repost it here. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/218-first-order-battle-group/
  5. @astrosally Who's files did you use for the printed parts?
  6. I'll have to throw it in a slicer. I was worried looking at it that, the red and white might be on the same layer. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  7. Makes me wish I had a multicolor printer. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  8. I've printed several of these. It is a fun little toy. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  9. Any update on this? Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  10. I'm curious with the growth of 256 cubed printers (Centuri Carbon, Bambu Labs P1S, etc) have you thought about slicing the files to fit smaller printers? Maybe adding some cut with keys or dove tails for the bigger parts? Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  11. If these are for the CRL, we'll need cape and undersuit photos as well. I'm sure we can find a photo of a FOTK undersuit and a balaclava if needed. But definitely need the cape. Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  12. This looks so amazing! I hope we can push it to the finish line soon. I would love to make a Captain Cardinal!
  13. Okay, I'm on the home stretch here. I do have to make a few changes. I built the abdomen armor parts about 50lbs ago, so when I put it on know I could ring like a bell it sways back and forth so much, so I need to cut down the shims, and more than likely re-do the side split rivets. After that it is just strapping and submitting for approval so that I can retire my current ATA set, and then submitting for EI. I hope that I can get this all done before the end of October.
  14. This build has been on hold for over a year. My wife's health hasn't allowed us to do much work. I'm hoping that I'll be able to start on it again this month. I'd really like to get her kit finished before my WTF R1TK armor arrives. Hopefully I can make some updates this weekend.
  15. Wow, 2 years this thread has sat idle. I'm looking to pick this back up. I have been waiting on the armor from WTF, and from what he has showed us on his FB page, I think he is getting close. So I figured I should start working on the helmet again to make sure it is ready once the Armor arrives. Hopefully I'll have a few updates this weekend, and it won't be another 2 years between updates.
  16. Thanks Glen. I'll take a look. I have a set of files from Justin (Mr. Poopie on the Pathfinders forum) for his patrol trooper which are the "Non-Saga" hand plates. I printed them in resin and they look pretty good. But I know the silicon/rubber ones are more comfortable.
  17. Is anyone making the rubber hand plates for the R1TK? They are a bit different shape than the ANH hand plates and have the little divot in the front.
  18. Thank you to all who Donated. We have exceeded our requirement, and everything is funded until the beginning of next Legion Term in March 2026. Thank you @Greg Sickmeier and @Stardust665 for helping us wrap everything up.
  19. We need $20.28 to reach our goal of $865.39.
  20. Is this one that you will be offering in the shop? I know about the E-11 and the DLT-19/19x I believe I also so the Scout/Patrol Trooper blaster.
  21. Welcome John! I've been watching your Social for a while. I was unaware that you were working with Disney/LFL. That's awesome! I look forward to seeing more of your work and definitely interested in a blaster (or 2).
  22. Thank you to all the members that contributed. We have reached our goal, and have locked this thread, so no further donations are needed for this campaign. Thank you again for this amazing community for pitching in to keep this forum run!
  23. Josh, you don't have an approved TK or TD, so unfortunately, you will not be able to get in on this run, nor will we be able to add you to the 501stStormtrooper group. We can see your approved costumes form your Legion Profile. 501st Legion - Vader's Fist There are over 2000 coins available for sale, so I'm sure you'll be able to trade for one once the run is complete.
  24. them: You can't hear a picture Paul:
  25. Anovs has a reputation for being thinner plastic, and I've seen it yellow a bit quicker. The other issue I have is that it was sized for the typical sized actor of the 1977 movie (roughly 5'11", 170lbs). I'm 6'2, 250lbs, so I went with AM armor from Dave's Darkside Depot. WTF does offer some different size parts, ie larger chest and shoulder bells, longer shins, etc. There is some concern about the wonkiness of his helmet. I didn't have any issues, but I know several folks who bought helmets from a different maker or had Walt's team build the helmets because they had issues. But both are good sets.
