The Tantive IV raid was great, but I didn't know if TKs were some alien/non-human life form. When Han and Luke put on the armour, then it clicked. I wanted a set too! The scene of the TKs strolling outside the Death Star as the M. Falcon is dragged in was cool too. "Is there anything these TKs can't do?" I wondered.

Mark, that must have been an awful scare. Happy to hear that you're pulling through and that the bypass went well. Take care of yourself. It's always interesting to read your posts, so let us know how you're doing...

Great news! ...and congratulations! It's great to read that your back on the saddle!

Imagine this scenario. In 20 or so years you'll be watching Antique Roadshow and someone will bring in TK armour to be appraised. They'll go through the usual types and their possible values, but then I wonder what they'll say about upgrades. Will there be a premium on suits that are most like the original props? (minimal outfitting and a green acetate strip), or will they judge all the extras (black helmet lining, fans, mics, extra outfitting) as a testament to the craft of trooping and decide it's more valuable? Your thoughts?....

My thoughts and prayers to Melissa and you.

I dunno..... The helmet doesn't seem quite right.... Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously, it looks great! Really sharp. Not only does the armour and helmet look great, but you animate it well. The intentionally confrontational poses really bring it fearfully to life. Well done!

Of course!!! That explains why you had so much trouble with the timer on the camera. Now it all makes perfect sense....

This is a little freaky, but someone's wearing your clone trooper helmet as it sits on the shelf.... Take a look. For whatever trick of lighting and camera angle, there appears to be a human eye looking out through the helmet lens. Very strange.... You should ask him to leave.

How would I configure a fan system to cool it down when I use it?

At the risk of sounding like I'm "soft" on rebellion, happy Independence Day everyone!

MR tk helmet comparison pictures
TK:TK replied to firebladejedi's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Great photos. Thanks for posting. It was great to see the comparison between the TE2, AP, T*E and MR LE. The MR LE seems to have a narrower face and the ears seem wrong. The ears appear too centered rather than raked towards the back, and the eyes seem not quite right. For all their asymmetrical flaws, the TE2, AP, and T*E really have great sinister expressions. The MR LE looks vacant, kind of like a trooper showing up for duty stoned. -
Ditto to everything Thumper said. He makes a lot of sense. I would have expected the state trooper to know to behave better. Even in minor car accidents, the people involved are completely rattled by the experience. Officers ought to know to handle the situation a bit more gingerly - especially since there were kids in both cars. As a parent you were certainly more concerned with assessing the condition of the kids rather than write down a license number. The state trooper certainly made a bad situation worse.

Good point! The academic tear is (finally) over, and the course, I'm guessing, is completed. What did you find out? I hope you got a good grade.... -
Absolutely amazing photo. I have never seen such an extensive and well organized collection of wrenches before. Wow! ...and the helmets look great too! http://forum.whitearmor.net/style_emoticon...ult/biggrin.gif Excellent work!

Great idea! They would, of course, offer 100% UV protection, right? Funny that the idea is almost coming full circle. I always wondered if the inspiration for the TK eyes was drawn from ski goggles.

That's quite a list of injuries. I hope you're feeling better. Speaking from experience, don't let the pain get ahead of you. Don't throttle back on the meds "to see if it still hurts." It will. And it'll be a bear to get ahead of the pain. (That's all the doctorly advice I have). Take care of yourself....

I hate "silver bullet" candidates. They swoop in at the last minute and ruin it for everyone. On the bright side, you were #2 out of 30+ candidates. And #1 has just been taken out of the running. Best of luck in the next search!

The postal service is holding off buying white postal trucks!? Wow. I suppose all their mail carriers will have to hoof it... Sorry to read that you were laid off. It stinks, and you have my sympathy. Have fun dusting off and updating your resume. On your resume be sure to add a line or two about how you are a really good contributor to FISD.

Great job! Very impressive. It's sure to be on many people's "must-have" list. Suddenly this hobby just got a lot more expensive..... -
Altess.... Since you are the FISD mom (by general acclamation), let me be the first to wish you a very Happy Mother's Day.
