  1. Great progress, Stu.
  2. Well done, Wayne! Welcome to EIB rank, sir!!
  3. Hiya, I have a feeling that someone previously did exactly what you said - filled the groves and gently marked new ones on the rear curve. Probably easier that removing the whole piece and possibly damaging it. (Lovely blaster, btw!!) I think the shins could just sit a inch or two lower over the boots. Here's a good ref pic from ANH.
  4. Awesome! Yeah, that first troop should be one to remember!!
  5. Pics are a little blurry but they look to be okay (I think).
  6. Hi Aaron, Great job overall - looking really good. Just a little thing. I think you'll need a link to your EIB clearance thread at the top of your Centurion application. The only feedback I would give is that the shins are possibly riding a little high (do they raise when you move around?) and that the rear sight of your E-11 is possibly backwards or missing the "serrated" detailing on the rear curve. (pic below) Otherwise, best of luck for your clearance. Looks like your very close.
  7. Hi Jeff, Ideally, the smaller ab plate would have zero return edge. As below in this reference pic.
  8. Hi Thor, Overall, it looks like you're heading in the right direction. Just a few dressing issues and you should be set for your clearance submission. The main things that stand out to me that could be tweaked would be: large gap between back plate and kidney - could possibly lower the back plate and/or raise the butt/kidney to meet the back thighs look quite large on you - could possible reduce them to fit your legs a little better shoulder bells are quite far from the shoulder bridges - you could try shortening the shoulder elastics to bring them close to (almost touching) the shoulder bridges hovi tips appear to be black inside and out. Whilst I'm not an expert on Hero lids, I beleive they should still be white inside, same as Stunt lids the belt looks like it might be fitted too loose, leaving a little dragging at the back. Next time you kit up, you could probably just wrap it a little tighter to avoid the drooping Also, you could try using the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" copy feature on Imgur. If you copy the BBCode link for each picture and paste that into your thread, the images will show in the forum (rather than following the link to Imgur itself). We will probably see much more feedback if they are directly in your thread. Best wishes, Dan
  9. Hi Colin, Any pics of how it turned out?
  10. Well done for getting your clearance! :-) Glad the strapping screws are being allowed. Very screen accurate. Belt looks lovely in the pictures. That wear looks very ANH. Maybe it’s more frayed than the pictures show? Time to get that EIB application in? :-) Best wishes, Dan
  11. Thank you, sir. I’d be honoured. :-)
  12. Certainly heading the right way. That belt looks much better. Butt plate possibly still a little big (and possibly not connected up in that rear shot) but I’m sure it won’t take you a huge amount of work to get clearance. Have you had much feedback from your Garrison? :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hi D. 1st generation is a good thing - they are one of the few makers that have an actual screen used set of armour, making it near enough an exact copy of those in the movies. If you take your time to build the kit to a high standard, Centurion can be achieved with this kit (if the Centurion guidelines are followed, of course). Just to confirm what others have said, reaching Centurion is more to do with the build and fitting of armour, not just the armour itself. Even though RS is one of the best armours around, it still has to be carefully built and fitted to the wearer to reach Centurion. Research and patience is the key to achieving a beautiful set of armour. If you haven't already, perhaps take a look through some of the approved Centurion applications to see what steps are taken to reach the highest level. Also bear in mind that if you go the TD (sandtrooper) route, Centurion would not apply. You would be aiming for the sandie level 2 and 3 which are called PO (Police Officer) and SWAT. Check out the MEPD forum for full specs and requirements for sandtrooper L2 and L3. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?act=idx Best wishes, Dan
  14. Hi Jared, Welcome to the fun. :-) You are currently in the ROTJ (Return of the Jedi) section which won't be a good match for your Anovos. Anovos will be okay for ANH or ESB. This would be a good place to start your build thread. Best wishes, Dan
  15. Top job, matey!!! Well deserved. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’ll send you a PM with an ebay (UK) link as you’re in the UK. :-)
  17. Hiya. Yes, a little too domed. Here’s a reference pic. Pan head, slotted. There’s a few sellers on here that sell the right ones. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. What a beautiful set of RS armour. Just s little thing. You will need to add a picture showing the inside of the thigh ammo pack attachment. Also, can't quite tell from the picture if those are pan head slotted screws [highly recommended] or domed for the thermal detonator. Superb job, Nick.
  19. Many congrats, Tom. Welcome aboard.
  20. Great job on your armour, Wayne. Best of luck for EIB.
  21. Thanks. Either way, a lot of the features, such as oversized kidney, moulded ab buttons, moulded belt buttons, over-trimmed limbs etc, look very similar, hence the comparison. I don’t mean to be rude, however, I would stick to my original post and recommend that those looking for armour as close to screen accurate as possible check their options. Just my personal opinion. Regards, Dan
  22. Well done, chaps. :-) 6 troopers so far, just 5310 to go. ;-)
