ANOVOS; Major customer service issue
cjdesign replied to Tricky the Clown's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I called last week and requested that somebody call me back in 48 hours or I will request a refund through my credit card company. No response. It's been almost three months now. Motto: Stop purchasing products from individuals or company's that monopolize certain sectors of this hobby and clearly don't give a rat's a** about the consumer. All the while... making money hand over fist in the process -
Icomm/Aker attachments to armor.

That's the way I have mine set up. works great unless you have a bib style neck seal and want to tuck the seal under the body suit. It gets tricky consealing the back of the aker strap. I may mount to my chest. -

Magazine Weathering: Using Maskol to recreate a weathered surface like my original sterling mag. Brush on in some areas, let dry for 20 minutes and then it's ready to paint. Finished piece after two passes. waiting for some silver paint to highlight as needed. Note: I've found that lightly buffing the finished painted surface, will create a consistent sheen that is present on the original magazine surface.

Mine were a little big as well, so I trimmed the inner part only and kept the outer part intact. Thus, the return edges are still present and visible on the outer tops of the thighs. If you cut the whole top lip you will need to fabricate return edges.

I was able to purchase a new device on ebay for 88.00. It arrived without a power cord. Obviously not new. Get this...They guy refunded my money and said I didn't have to return the anker? What? Really? Wow! So I have a free 1lb paper weight without a power cord. Any pics would help me hunt one down. Thanks in advance Tony.

I'm testing the colors I will be using for the rest of the blaster. Painted the grip and will attach once on the main body has been painted as well. The crackle paint can be finicky. So I opted to paint the grip first to test out the coverage. My original Sterling's finish is a mixture of crackle paint and bare metal that has turned a rust color. Trying to replicate this throughout the blaster. I will mask off strategically, using Humbrol Maskol, to minic wear and scratches. Once dried. I'll apply the final crackle op coat.

Ya, what about the RAVPower 23000mAh? Has 9v/12v as well. Looks like a perfect alternative, considering the ebay auction i posted is sold out. http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-23000mAh-Portable-Charger-External/dp/B00HFMUBYG/ref=sr_1_13?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1458593744&sr=1-13&keywords=anker+Astro+Pro

Modifying battery to power bank for my RomFX and fans
cjdesign replied to Tibo's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
Yep... keep in mind usb is 5v. I would use 5v fans. I think 12v fans will work but less then ideal. I'm running 3 5v fans off of a 25.00 Anker powercore 10000 mounted behind by head. The battery acts as a counter weight on the back of my helmet and keeps the front of my mask from bottoming out on chest plate. I tested it for 4 hours and thing was still running strong. Saves money big time. No more buying AAs & 9Vs. \w/ Anker powercore 10000 (amazon): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0194WDVHI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 -
FYI... I buy mine from this gentlemen on ebay... fast shipping. authentic snaps. -----------

got pictures of the inside of the rivet covers? There should be a recess to fit over the top part of the cap rivet.
