Didn't turn out too bad considering two of the parts were as small as pin heads and I actually super glued one to my index finger lol. I'll keep it as a spare because I really don't trust it to not burst into pieces again.

Then there was this tragedy earlier in the week. Pardon the sticker, I put it on as a joke but it saved lol The other one looks perfect but this little guy got smashed in transit. Not Vajs fault in the least. He had it packed like it was a faberge egg lol. Something heavy must have fallen hard on it. He's replacing it with no issues, great guy if you ever have the chance to deal with him do it. BUT seeing as I have nothing to do tonight I want to see if I can fix it even though I'm 99% sure it's done for. It's cracked in two directions and caved in.

So with my blaster being shipped to me yesterday (only 200km it should ship fast) I figured I'd make the spring today out of 14 gauge wire from home depot. Lets see if you can find my error faster than I did lol... The tube is 19mm, the wire is 1.6mm thick so that'll go twice so I needed to find a bar that is 15.8mm this chair was close. I count 11 wraps in the reference photos. I'll be making the centre piece with my lathe when I have the blaster to measure. So here was my error. It's closed on two ends. I got it looking perfect with perfect spacing (no photo) and then I had to just mangle it taking it off of the chair but after another 30 minutes of wire wrangling I think it ended up okay. But close isn't close enough so I'll be turning a rod myself to form it around and re-do it. Wood working on my lathe is easy for me so I don't mind the extra mile.

Not being able to import demilled firearms is the only thing I don't like about being Canadian lol

Yeah I figure I'll find someone who needs Kevin's in Toronto, save someone some shipping. Although I also have a set of Vajs mic tips that came in today so I might have extras if we can't work something out but I'm sure we will. Hey buddy, I'm your size and about to build some AP armour with some extra shims to make it all the way around me. He's added a lot of space in it but still a little small for guys our size.<br><br> So give them some thought. Mark is a nice guy and has a good price for what you get

I'm just concerned that you were going to go with the default strip size for the back without trying the part on to make sure its not too tight. Sounds like you're alright though

Are you precutting them all or doing them as you go? Make sure to prefit the pieces so you know you aren't making them too tight with the strips buddy
