1. Thanks for the feedback guys, and thanks again for all your help Q.
 2. Hi all, with a LOT of help from gmrhodes, I am attempting to convert my ATA bucket into a hero. First (and most nerve-wracking) step was to push the extra teeth indents out. I firstly taped a triangle piece of scrap ABS to the front of the helmet. Next, I heated a knife on the iron and pushing that against the indents. (I ended by using the iron directly very, very gently) I have pictures of the above steps if anyone is interested, but I took my time and went very slowly, and was pretty happy with the end result. There are a couple of very small imperfections, but I think after painting the teeth they won't be noticeable. Next I have been following pandatroopers ATA bucket tutorial, have trimmed off excess and rough cut eyes. Started on teeth and this is where I would like some advice please. From looking at the photos I think I probably need to take some more off, also, should the holes taper up with the angle of the frown, or should they stay square. Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks, Scott
 3. I have the same question, is there a reason you shouldn't paint the interior before cutting teeth and eyes?

 5. Great job Jay! The only thing I noticed, which may not even matter, is the cover strip on your left thigh should stop at the ridge, it looks like yours may run over the ridge (I really only noticed it because I did the same thing!)
Good luck!
 6. Best to email the vendors on the vetted sellers list for pricing. if you want to get an idea of what a particular sellers kit looks like, check out the build threads and EIB/Centurion applications.
 7. Im looking too.---------------- Actually, I'm pretty sure I found the link to it from FISD somewhere, does anyone have any feedback on them?
Edit, can't get the link to work now, but the seller is called vaderpainterstudios.
 8. Welcome to FISD!
 9. Welcome Ash!
Try by starting here: http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRL
Have a look through the different costumes, and see what takes your fancy, many members have more than one costume as well.
Also, for Boba Fett sign up to the Bounty Hunters guild, for Clone Troopers, Google the Clone Trooper Detachment.

Take your time and research, ultimately choose what character you would like to go with, ask lots of questions and take your first step into a larger world!
 10. ^^ What Joseph said times 10.
 11. Ok, shoulder bells shouldn't be too hard a fix by shortening the straps a little bit. Possibly rotate them inwards a touch for your next lot of photos as well?
Not sure what he means by side gaps? Your kidney plate seems to flare out a bit at the sides, maybe try shortening the elastic there as well, or possibly gently heat bend it a touch? Or trim the kidney plate slightly?
Which rivets is he referring to? He should only be looking for basic approval, the ab/kidney rivets are Centurion, I would ask for clarification on that like you have.
Don't get down mate, they should be a couple of pretty easy fixes, and if they are looking that hard then you've done a really good job! Well done, not long now!
 12. Looks great Rui! Only thing I noticed is that your holster appears set up for Stunt, with only two fasteners on the belt. The Hero CRL has 4 fasteners, two at the bottom and two at the top.
Cheers,
Scott
 13. Pictures would help, I don't quite understand why being on the shorter side would create that problem? Having said that 2" sounds like too big a gap, ideally the back and kidney plate would almost butt together, whereas you might be able to get away with a bit of a gap up the top.
As I said, pictures would help, because I might be getting this all confused in my head.
 14. Looks good mate, awesome repair job on that control panel as well.
Just watch the sniper plate slipping behind your thigh, I had the same problem, and it became pretty annoying during troops, I fixed it by putting a little piece of foam behind my thigh at the back of my knee, doing this pulled my thigh in towards the front of my knee.

You could try bringing the shoulder bells in a bit, but that shouldn't matter for approval.
Awesome job!
 15. Hi Sennight!
I don't think Baytrooper has a TK so he probably isn't that well known here. Rest assured you are in the right place for TK advice. For soft parts, it would also be worth sending a PM to MammaSith on the Redback forums as she does a lot of sewing for the Garrison.
Looking forward to watching your build thread!
Cheers,
Scott
 16. Heat it up a little bit and it should soften enough to move.
 17. No questions are stupid, everybody here has had to learn from scratch at some point, you're better off asking questions than making a mistake.
 18. Hi Chris,
I have ATA armour and I'm really happy with it, I'm about 5'10" and it fits me perfectly. There are makers that are quicker, but for my situation the longish wait and the fact that Terrell doesn't request any payment up front meant I could save up slowly. Also, it gave me time to get together the soft parts. He usually has helmet kits in stock so you will have that to do later.
'Trimming' usually refers to cutting the extra parts off that come out in the mold, they are pretty easy to identify. Take it slow, look at all the reference material for each piece and try to avoid that rush of blood that seems to arrive with the big brown box. I got a little caught up in the rush of blood and ended up having to order a couple of new pieces which arrived pretty quickly.
Drilling into my armour absolutely terrified me, best approach is to mark where you want to drill with a pencil and put a photo up on your build thread to ask for advice before drilling.
Don't be afraid to ask questions (even if you think they might sound stupid), research, research, research, try not to rush, and I'm sure you will be fine!
 19. Hi Howard,
You need to have a post count of at least 5 before you can post on the for sale threads.
Echo's fans are awesome!
Cheers
