1. Looks great Rui! Only thing I noticed is that your holster appears set up for Stunt, with only two fasteners on the belt. The Hero CRL has 4 fasteners, two at the bottom and two at the top.
Cheers,
Scott
 2. Pictures would help, I don't quite understand why being on the shorter side would create that problem? Having said that 2" sounds like too big a gap, ideally the back and kidney plate would almost butt together, whereas you might be able to get away with a bit of a gap up the top.
As I said, pictures would help, because I might be getting this all confused in my head.
 3. Hi, last Friday night members of the Redback Garrison (Qld, Australia) trooped our second night of the Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland. We were lucky to have some troopers make their way from Brisbane (about a 2 hour drive), including our Garrison's only First Order trooper. Christmas Wonderland is a light display put on by the local Lions club in our towns main park, patrons pay a gold coin donation and all funds raised go towards the local hospital. (www.christmaswonderland.com.au) Crowds on this night were massive, most of us didn't get away from near the sign in table all night (approx a 2hr troop). A small group of troopers attempted to patrol but only made a distance of about 100m in an hour. Hardly Usain Bolt speed. Overall this was a very fun and busy night!
 4. Looks good mate, awesome repair job on that control panel as well.
Just watch the sniper plate slipping behind your thigh, I had the same problem, and it became pretty annoying during troops, I fixed it by putting a little piece of foam behind my thigh at the back of my knee, doing this pulled my thigh in towards the front of my knee.

You could try bringing the shoulder bells in a bit, but that shouldn't matter for approval.
Awesome job!
 5. Hi Sennight!
I don't think Baytrooper has a TK so he probably isn't that well known here. Rest assured you are in the right place for TK advice. For soft parts, it would also be worth sending a PM to MammaSith on the Redback forums as she does a lot of sewing for the Garrison.
Looking forward to watching your build thread!
Cheers,
Scott
 6. No questions are stupid, everybody here has had to learn from scratch at some point, you're better off asking questions than making a mistake.
 7. Hi Chris,
I have ATA armour and I'm really happy with it, I'm about 5'10" and it fits me perfectly. There are makers that are quicker, but for my situation the longish wait and the fact that Terrell doesn't request any payment up front meant I could save up slowly. Also, it gave me time to get together the soft parts. He usually has helmet kits in stock so you will have that to do later.
'Trimming' usually refers to cutting the extra parts off that come out in the mold, they are pretty easy to identify. Take it slow, look at all the reference material for each piece and try to avoid that rush of blood that seems to arrive with the big brown box. I got a little caught up in the rush of blood and ended up having to order a couple of new pieces which arrived pretty quickly.
Drilling into my armour absolutely terrified me, best approach is to mark where you want to drill with a pencil and put a photo up on your build thread to ask for advice before drilling.
Don't be afraid to ask questions (even if you think they might sound stupid), research, research, research, try not to rush, and I'm sure you will be fine!
 8. Hi Howard,
You need to have a post count of at least 5 before you can post on the for sale threads.
Echo's fans are awesome!
Cheers
 9. Hi Henry,
Have you tried the Canadian Garrison page?
http://501st.ca
Someone there may be able to help.
10. All good advice, and in the end, if you do muck something up completely, ATA is really quick with replacement parts.
 11. 501st will require the thermal detonator, hopefully you get the clips in time, otherwise maybe go down to your local hardware store, get some 25x1mm aluminium strip and bend them yourself, they might not be as perfect as the guys who sell them, but they should pass.
 12. No, you would need to be approved to get access, sorry for the confusion, I just mean from those photos, it looks like your costume is just about ready. Once your thermal detonator is done, it doesn't look like there is much left to do.
You will probably need to make some small adjustments after your first couple of troops anyway, which is how you might come up with a solution for your butt plate.
 13. Looks awesome!
I think your forearms look fine. Just be careful trimming them if you decide to, you don't want to lose any of the dimples.
Just shorten the straps between your back and kidney a touch, that should pull it all together nicely.
Get those approval pics in!
 14. Yep, see what you mean. Not really sure what you can do there to be honest. If you get the specific thinners for the paint that was used, maybe try the dip a cut off matchstick in the thinners and push along the paint? Someone with more paint experience than me might have a suggestion.
 15. Tears look a lot better. I think the one you've labelled as right is pretty good, not sure about the left one, there might be a bit too much paint on there. Overall though, they do look a lot better!
Good work on the control panel, would love to see how it turns out when you are finished with it.
Keep up the good work!
 16. This some pics of the screws.
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22697-screen-accurate-thermal-detonators-run-2/

Black, dome or pan head, slotted (if you can find them), about 5mm (7/32") or thereabouts. I used a little metal thread bolt with a nut on the inside rather than a screw. No real reason, it was just the best match I could find for the head.
 17. Biceps look fine. If they are tightbyou might want to try getting rid of a bitnof that return edge.
I don't have much experience with ABS paste, but I think it dries pretty hard? You should be able to sand it and polish if it does.
 18. Try this thread for abs paste:
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/2041-howto-make-your-own-abs-repair-paste/

Shin looks good! Just check it sticks ok in the middle, maybe another clamp or some magnets will help it to stick if you have any trouble with it.

You should be right to trim the cod, but it might be an idea to trim a bit less off it, you can always take more off, but it's a lot harder to put it back! I can sort of see a shadowy ridge in the photo that looks like it might be a mild line, maybe try starting there. I'm not sure what you mean by the cod 'hangs off'?

Also, if you are going for centurion, don't forget there should be a split rivet in the cod (if you order the pack from Trooperbay it should come with it).

Good work, almost there!
 19. the caps are a pain to get off, I know some people have drilled a hole through the pipe under the control panel to prevent that air lock scenario. (I only found that out AFTER I'd glued my control panel on!) That might be an option. Having said that, it would be worth sending a pm to Ukswrath or Sly11 to get their thoughts before you do anything.
With the pop rivets, you might be able to use some long nose pliers to get them off, or you should be able to drill out the middle of them. Just be careful, try the pliers on the inside of your armour first.
 20. Looking good Adam!
Just check what height your belt will be, the top of it should be touching the bottom of the ab plate control panel buttons. It looks like it might be a bit low? You might need to put the snaps at the bottom of the canvas belt to lift it up a bit.
 21. Looks good James, only thing I can see is that you may need to try and paint your shims a bit of a closer colour to the rest of your armour.
Good luck!
 22. Thanks Adam, I used my birthday as well.
There is a list of available IDs here:
http://www.501st.com/members/search_avail_ids.php
