Helmet Adhesive
ComradeDave replied to ComradeDave's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Thanks Scott I saw this stuff at Home Depot I'll try it out! -
Mine was from Zuko the Avatar the Last Airbender
-
I've got a ton of it from other cosplays

I have an Idea to use rubber rope seals approximately 1/4" in diameter around the eyes and frown to mount lenses and frown mesh. What Adhesive works for rubber that's quick and permanent. I know I'll get the 1000 E6000 comments but I want something quicker that works better on rubber. Suggestions? also has anyone used EVA foam for their helmet padding or for padding around interior accessories?

I bought Justjoseph's centurion rivet set for less than 10 bucks with shipping all in. give that a try brother -
Check the for sale threads for the tracks. But the box and disk you could probably find something to Jimmy rig at a hardware store or even something at a dollar store. You'd be surprised

I agree with Angie Bro, you're doing a great job. just slow down or you'll lose your mind. I'm in the same boat. I'm not even finished with my helmet some days I literally stare at it and think wtf do I do next... I found the more I think about it the more mistakes, scuffs and dings I make in it I had to sit myself down and say you need to slow the f down here, read your material and be precise. I've come to terms with the ears, the teeth and the brow I had to slap myself and say there is no perfect way to do this because imperfection is canon lol -

Undersuit Product Opinions
ComradeDave replied to bobio's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
This is my undersuit. It's really comfortable and was pretty cheap I went for the 2 piece http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00A2MBT2Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0096K99HU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 -
yeah I'm going to Yeah I think you're right Dan. I'm going to skip this entirely. It's extra work that serves little purpose considering I'll be using black eva foam for my padding inside.

I put one ear on to test, my Garrison Leader suggested smoothing out the edges of the ear some more and trimming down the edge where the brow meets the side on that 90 degree angle. I followed some other threads that punched a hole here to prevent splits but it wasn't large enough so the ear on the top front is catching and not closing properly... I will take care of that.

I went at the holes a bit more are they not square enough? Do the holes have to be completely flush ?
