  1. So it is with pleasure that I can say my ANH-S got the thumbs up from the GML. 2 Approved costumes! Sweet. Anyway here's some pictures As to your question Andrew, I am having the same issue I added another snap on the bib snap part to make it tighter just a male snap so the two existing female snaps could fit and it brought in more. the under arm strap I need to figure out still. And Looking at this I need to make some more tweaks to the armour. My elastic shoulder strap on the left (my left, your right) needs to be secured with velcro or a snap to the shoulder bridge (same with the other side) I also need to make J hooks for the biceps, they keep sliding down. the forearms also need to be secured better. I am tall so I need to try and work with the suit to minimize black spots. In other news an action shots with the pauldron on for HWT.
  2. great stuff Tony, I'm following this for mine too.
  3. I agree Paul, I had an accident when it was holstered at that troop... The Magazine fell off when I bumped a door... Nothing a little CA glue didn't fix but still you need to be wary. Exactly Tim, the weight makes it sit nice, but like I said to Paul's comment you really need to be careful of your surroundings And this one is for you Joe This is just my ANH build progress. I'll start up a HWT after approval here's a bit of progress on that front. Pauldron is here, I did some adjustments and added another snap to make it fit tighter And Pouches before And after I used fabric paint on the canvas and spray enamel on the leather For the magazines I cut out pieces of EVA black foam mat looks pretty solid!
  4. No actually to both lol. It is a heavy resin e-11. Thats probably why it's staying in place. the other thing I did was carefully put my Chicago screws so that only about an inch of leather strap was hanging down. I followed abunch of pictures and a Bill Hag diagram. I think it also might be the way I'm standing. Here's the Diagram Tino.http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e88/Piklz36/Holster%20Tutorial/ANHHolsterPlacement01.jpg Here's a thread too man http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23643-making-a-holster-for-anh-stunt/
  5. Hi all, I'm back after fixing my ESB trooper up to EIB status, now to getting my ANH trooper approved! All of my tweaks are completed so here some pics. New Helmet with ANH paint scheme (note this is the helmet I thought I ruined with a heat gun in my initial ESB build all fixed up with new ears from AP and a bit of white silicone caulk to cover up gaps) Rubber ANH Handguards I cut some leather bracelet kits up for my ANH AP holster. and affixed them with Chicago screws for neat removal when I want to go back to my ESB trooper. Now here's my favourite part. The cherry on top... My Hfx DLT-19. I already have a ESB E-11, I had to get begrudgingly for higher approvals in ESB. Like I always say the E-11 is a side arm... Now with My ANH I can show it off as my main armament Here's some more with it all together. yeah I need to pull my When this one is approved I will get it up to EIB and then work toward Centurion on both costumes.
  6. I still think you're pretty much ready for EIB, get those pics up bro!
  7. Lookin good buddy! Keep up the great work brother.
  8. does anyone know how TM compares in colour and lustre to AP armour? AM is more rosey than AP's blue. I need much long shins too
  9. Thanks Team, very humbled on the honourable mentions. All around great news letter! Awesome job
  10. I bought the rivets from Joseph as well, and the bag of clamps is a great deal I have used all of them at one before lol.
  11. Rule of thumb Cameron, Measure, measure again, Mark your cut lines, measure again lol then cut. Be absolutely sure of yourself when you begin. A great resource is the centurions' build threads for details and the photo reference gallery. There is nothing more annoying and tear provoking that destroying a piece of armour and needing to buy it again. Heed my advice I've replaced a ton of parts before AND after my build was finished. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25570-tip-choose-your-magnets-and-clamps/ Here's a good resource for magnets and clamps
  12. All and all I agree you are well on your way! Not much to do little tweaks, we all have been there brother!
  13. It'll take some work but listen to Joe, keep sanding until it's flush with progressively finer grit and definitely buy the Novus 3 pack.
  14. Mike do you have any pictures of your Helmet up close. As Kalani, suggested nothing really stands out and looks good. Cover strip and butt method is required for higher levels on your limb armour just keep in mind. The helmet is what I want to see if ANH-S is what you seek, and it may be the lighting and angle but it almost looks like an ESB paint job. Also you need one rank stripe per side on your ear bumps for L3. Also be wary of the kidney and backplate gap there should be little to no gap back there.
  15. Christina's right, I want to get a hyperfirm e-11 too for exactly the same reason.
  16. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been out all day and just came home to this incredible news!!! Thank you everyone for helping me get this far. Thank you Andrew for the suggestions, I have since fixed the shoulder bells gaps and will try and eliminate the bicep forearm gap. I am so happy I could cry right now lol awesome stuff!
  17. Sounds Great thanks Andrew. Let me know if you need anything else!
  18. I also removed the top padding in my bucket to make my giraffe neck seem human. Hoping you guys take a look !!
  19. Thank you for being a ray of hope in a world that plagues us all with fear, nefarious intent, hatred and violence, Angie. You are a strong woman, a lesser person wouldn't be able to come as far as you have. You are a great mentor and friend. The fact that you are brave and share these difficult stories and experience shows your grace under pressure and the beauty of your soul. I know a lot of us out there are struggling in silence or in whispers. Myself included. This was very powerful to me, that maybe self hatred and self abuse isn't the way to grow. That clouding your emotions with substance instead of feeling and doing better for yourself isn't the answer... I welled up when I read this, you aren't just a survivor, you're a hero. Much love your way trooper
