  1. I'll post progress photos soon, but if I didn't have your highly detailed tutorial, I'd be screwed! So thanks!
  2. Haven't done an update in a while, but my FN (or TK as we call it here [emoji6]) continues to come together. Got this before Christmas! Then this after the new year! And then these arrived yesterday! Hope to have everything assembled in Feb! And before you bombard me with requests for these items, check out the "First Order Stormtrooper Resource Guide" on the forum for where I got most of this stuff.
  3. Tony, for the two belt boxes that you used the rubber material, I ordered the material you hyperlinked in the materials list. It seems thinner than your pictures appear and it is very soft. It's hard to tell from your photos, but was the material you used a more rigid material? I'm guessing from your photos that the assembled box is roughly 30mm deep? Would that be about right?
  4. One more question, how thick is the material that was provided for creating the cover strips?
  5. Just want to make sure I've got this right. The forearm boxes are actually 16mm deep, not 11, correct?
  6. May be old news, but saw this at Disney today. Rank and color
  7. It was as if millions of voices cried out... and were suddenly silenced! [emoji12]
  8. Clint's point is well put and I agree with Cody's position! As a new FOTK, I would love to be able to recognized as FN-33724, noting that I am new to this organization, and as an homage to The Force Awakens. From a Legion perspective, It makes sense that my costume will be a TK, per Clint's argument, but as Cody points out, I reserve the right to refer to myself during troops as FN-33724. I would think that should be an acceptable compromise. My costume is a TK, but my name is FN. thoughts?
  9. I think the Imperial Gunnery Corps does a very similar thing. I like the idea. As a new guy, if I had to dig through 7 different CRLs to figure out which I wanted to build, only to learn the accessories are different, i think I might be deterred from pursuing it.
  10. I think the Pauldron item was an oops or the flipped the image, because the TD was mirrored as well!
  11. [emoji35] haters gonna hate! Let the TFA vs OT wars begin! [emoji6]
  12. I saw this on the news! Wondered who the lucky trooper was! Nice!
  13. You guys looked amazing! Was cool to get pics with all of you! Looking forward to finishing my suit and joining the Florida First Order!
  14. Are you looking at £500 ($750) for everything? If so then buying the pieces is not going to be your best approach! There are some good buckets out there selling in the $200-$250 range, gaskets will run $300 (unless you go cloth which is $125), boots and gloves are roughly $170, armor is $800+. That being said, if you find a kit (that is 501st approval) for under $750, let me know, cause I'm in! You're better bet is to pep it, there are some good files on the forums now (may check theRPF as well). It will definitely require a ton more work, but will keep your costs much lower (cardstock, superglue, resin and bondo are pretty cheap)! Good luck!
  15. TK338 reported in during a scene! I heard it as well!
  16. Perhaps that's a cool way for the Legion to approach it as well! If you are a former TK, you remain a TK. If you are new to the Legion as a Stormtrooper (like me) you are an FN!!! I like that idea! BTW, my mistake on my post, it's Kylo that mentions clones, not Hux
  17. Spoiler alert! In the scene where the resistance battles the first order near Maz's place, I thought one of the stormtroopersr reported in as TK-338. Hux also hints as variants of troopers!

  19. What material did you use and how does it attach? What is the "feature" on the left side (opposite the red portion)

  21. It's obviously hard to tell from the limited resources available, but I assume the extending portions also pop-out. In the pic above with the baton extended , they are obviously offset from the centerline of the baton. But in the collapsed position, they seem to be compressed and aligned to centerline. I've been contemplating how to mechanize this. I love how it snaps open in the clip that Billhag posted! -----------
