  1. When I did my Anovos build I never really found that the ABS used snapped well, even with 5-6 passes with a sharp blade. It often tore or would do weird things. For the thicker, straighter parts it worked okay but for the rest just stick with the lexan scissors and accept your hand is going to hurt!
  2. I've resent the validation for TK28602, the other one says it was cancelled. Can you ensure they check their junk folder.
  3. There's time yet. Looks like you've got most of the trimming done, if you can find time to get one seam glued an evening (about 30-45 minutes I seem to remember) then you can work through the whole suit in under 2 weeks, for some you can do 2 or 3 parts as you won't need as much clamping. Is there anyone local who can either help or lend you clamping kit to speed up the process?
  4. If you can loose some it will always help, and its good for you too! That said the armour you pick will also play part. As for larger options RWA recently launched what he calls his "big boy parts" which add some room in the the chest, back, kidney and butt plates to give larger troopers more options when assembling their kit. He also offers a larger shoulder bell and longer shins.
  5. There was a change in how emails are sent recently and it seems that some are getting lost once they leave the server. Do you have a user name for him?
  6. With Anovos the longer bottom bit goes on the inside. There's also a way you can look at the shape but it's a little less obvious and harder to explain
  7. Prop store have an auction at the end of the month and one lot is a TLJ screen used helmet. https://propstoreauction.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/138/lot/28672/?url=%2Fview-auctions%2Fcatalog%2Fid%2F138%2F%3Fpage%3D20 Whilst none of us are likely to have the money to buy it, there's some amazing images as always so some excellent reference. 8. I just hand sanded with 180 and 240 grits. For anything that needed more aggressive attention I used a small hobby file which re Ives material fast but is very controlled. If that was still too much work then I just got the scissors back out and removed small amounts.
  9. @T-Jay did you check your junk mail at all? The emails are being sent but it seems that they are getting caught in the spammers lists.
  10. I’ll pass the message over to the web team about emails.
  11. I've pressed a button to validate his email, can you ask him to try his old password again.
  12. There was a couple of people who had issues when the sever was first moved. I seem to recall that after a couple of attempts they were able to reset their password and get in. If not it will be something for the web team I expect.
  13. Has he tried resetting his password?
  14. I’ve not been getting emails, but then I’m not sure I was before either. Tapatalk is sending me notifications which should mean I have them enabled. On my Garrison forum get get both an email and a notification in tapatalk.
  15. I'm 5 10/11 ish and the back fits about right, you may have a longer torso but it still doesn't look right. Hard to tell but you may well have the butt plate too low. I started by attaching the kidney to the ab plate, then added the but plate. I then attached the chest to the back plate. This means you have a top half and a bottom half that you can put into place and see exactly where your gaps are if any. Don't be afraid to shove the butt/code up as far as it will go, you sort of need to to align everything.
  16. Welcome to the FISD! As dan has said get sorted for EIB/Centurion now as it will save some effort later.
  17. Congratulations, welcome to the Legion!
  18. Looking really good trooper! Ross did a great job on those bigger parts. They still keep the proportions looking right, especially vs shimming.
  19. As Glen says unless you're doing a Hero or ROTJ (or possibly a TIE) then bubble lenses aren't what you want. I am aware of people making them in the UK. Burkbench designs (former owner of Imperial Supply Depot) does some, and I would also assume that TM and CFO do them for their ROTJ kits.
  20. Definitely feels speedier, both on the website and when using Tapatalk.
  21. I did a full repaint on my Anovos helmet when I first got it over 2 years ago. I was probably only the 2nd person to do more than a frown touch up. Full details are in my build thread linked in my signature but if you have any questions on how to remove the original paint and decals feel free to ask me.
  22. On mine I used a drill to remove the bulk and then cleaned up with a small cylinder diamond bit.
  23. Looks like it has now been resolved, I'm able to navigate the forums properly now.
  24. Looks like they did indeed fix it, I've tried about 3-4 all working as expected.
