  1. Most of mine came off easily. Just take your time and go slowly. In places we’re it’s stuck they used CA for mine so just working got it off. If you need one a blunt edge will also help.
  2. Went for £110,000 plus commission and VAT! I grabbed all the images from the post as reference. They always take nice clear photos of their lots. There's also a few other Star Wars items worth grabbing.
  3. I've resent the validation email to see if it goes through this time.
  4. Honestly I don't know. I'll go back to the web team again.
  5. Whats his username an I'll resend the email. Some emails don't seem to be getting through to some providers.
  6. Capped ABS is always going to show the repair as the acrylic cap is far whiter than the ABS will be. It may be less noticeable if you glue in the chunk. Alternatively TM sell spares.
  7. I’m assuming they are still going with the shoulder hinge design as seen on the Tested videos. So yeah it’s going to need bridging, then filling and painting for clearance. I’m expecting a few grumpy new people when they find out that.
  8. I think for level 3 the moulded on parts should be on the correct half of the shell. For level 2 "overlap" is probably close enough.
  9. A bit late to the party but regarding the biceps, rear are overlap with the cover moulded into the outer half. Visible in this image Rogue One Stormtrooper Reference CE 2016 by Christopher Pearson, on Flickr Fronts not clear. Could be the strip is a separate piece or a part of the inner overlapping the outer. If I had to guess looking at closely at details in a back pack trooper, overlap as the seam behind the cover is far too close to the edge for butt to not snap as soon as it was flexed. Zoom in to max on the left bicep and you’ll see what I mean. Forearm looks to be overlap with a moulded in cover on the rear. Again my images of the front aren’t really helpful in showing the construction. Rogue One Stormtrooper Reference CE 2016 by Christopher Pearson, on Flickr
  10. That’s where me an my wife went on our first few dates [emoji106] weird to see Staines (upon Thames? Who do they think they’re kidding!) in the day.
  11. Starting with "Stop whining Corporal." and then a paragraph moaning about the legion is not completely okay. You post contained helpful information but no one will read it if it starts like that and is written in a way that takes shots at the poster.
  12. @Lichtbringer Please mind your tone, if you wish to help please do so. If not then please refrain from unneeded curt replies. Paul you've put a lot of work in here and it really shows. It's a lovely blaster. Unfortunately there's just not a huge number around these parts who know much about the DLT-19. Maybe the dirty boys over at MEPD (http://forum.mepd.net/) may know more from an accuracy point as it's mostly sand troopers who carry the later weapons like the DLT.
  13. First general nail polish remover wouldn't be my first choice. It will have a dye in it which will tint the paste. If you are having issues you've either bough acetone free or it's not ABS plastic. What kit is it? But to buy it you have a few options Most independant pharmacies will sell you some acetone in a small 50ish ml bottle for a couple of quid. It's more than enough but expensive per ml. If you have a beauty supplier near you you can buy a big 1L bottle of pure acetone for about £8-10, I forget the exact price as the shelf label didn't include VAT. https://www.sallybeauty.co.uk/ is who I used and they have shops all over, also there's other companies who I am sure will do it. Finally eBay. I buy lots of my chemically stuff on there, you can get all sorts for not a lot of money. Added bonus is you probably get added to some government watch list for buy lots of weird chemicals. I've used this company before but not for Acetone https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acetone-99-9-Pure-High-Quality-ACS-Lab-Grade-Nail-Varnish-Remover-5-Sizes/331585317454?hash=item4d34066a4e:m:mL2_cHdBulnpzvevFLdoHdQ
  14. As state above you need to follow through the following: Apply for 501st access on the forum Apply for and get Level 2 EIB clearance https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantryman-status/ Apply for and get Level 3 Centurion clearance https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/ At Levels 2 and 3 you will need to show evidence that you meet the required standards to earn these awards. If you take your time and listen to the advice then generally this isn't too hard.
  15. I don’t know about behind the camera work but a number of 501st members have been cast as extras or in at least one case voice actors in some of the new films. Watch the speech scene in TFA and you’ll see 501st members, not sure what other scenes. Also Jeremy Bullock aka Boba Fett is/was a cleared 501st member with a Boba Fett. As far as I am aware he’s the only properly cleared actor from the films.
  16. They shouldn’t wear off, it’s not a high wear area. However, are they high enough up the tubes? They look rather low to me but it may well be the angle of the photo.
  17. I free handed mine and there’s a couple of secrets to good results. Use a half decent brush, in good condition. It needs to be thin ish and have longer bristles. The long bristles act like a reservoir for the paint so you can do longer lines. The thinness mostly comes from the tip shape. Second brace your hand and brace the helmet. If your helmet and hand can’t move then it’s far easier to get a nice clean line. I did mine braced in my lap with my hands braced on the helmet. Also stir your paint properly. Make sure it’s good and mixed as model paints have a habit of separating out.
  18. For a standard OT trooper I wouldn’t recommend painting it. And especially not with small hobby paints! If your suit is a bit dull there’s various ways to polish it back up. Either basic car compound like meguires or you can splash out for Novos plastic polish. Personally I don’t bother as the originals where pretty grotty so I like the dull look and marks you pick up when trooping.
  19. The armour doesn’t need painting. Just a small number of rivets and screw heads.
  20. A drill! Just be careful go slow and have a wet towel to cool the rivet so it can’t melt the plastic. Drill in short bursts.
  21. Could be you’ve not allowed room for the belt to curve, did you figure out the hole positions on a flat surface?
  22. For a new hope they used ABS for the armour and HDPE for most/all the helmets (not 100% on that one). ESB used ANH armour repainted plus a few fresh helmets that are closer to ROTJ in look. ROTJ was all new armour, I believe they used ABS but @troopermaster or @sskunky would know for sure. Most decent Stormtrooper kits will be made of ABS. Some will be available in either PVC or HIPS to reduce cost, and the age yellowing ABS suffers. Most members will be using ABS kits though. Occasionally an HDPE helmet run will happen but not often and these tend to be bought for collections rather than trooping.
